I wouldn’t say anything because I got mine after a server restart so I’m not that concerned about it anymore but a fuckton of other people CAN’T wait for a maintenance day for the server to restart, so they can instantly log in and go find the boss.
“team is investigating” 4 freaking weeks now, are you even serious? You’re insulting people’s intelligence by repeating that over and over on SPAWN BUG. Add the Goddamn item to Baine’s loot drop list. It’s also a damn elite boss and located in Malevolence. Save everyone the trouble already.
Keeping thread active because this is still an issue. Thousands of players have this quest and are unable to complete it. THE ISSUE is that Malevolence DESPAWNS mid fight and thus his respawn becomes broken, since the ads that spawn him do not respawn, since the death flag is not set. Please fix this. I bet it’s literally 1 line of code with a typo.
Basically ads spawn boss, boss disappears, flag not reset, ads don’t respawn since flag not reset, boss can’t respawn. Stuck until server is reset. Days without a spawn. Holding quest for weeks and having to check if ads are there daily in hopes that previous groups killed without bug.
So this is still not fixed. That sucks. It seems like WH is the only 580 weapon quest that cannot be reliably completed. I believe this also affects a sub boss in the same area who is the only drop for WSmithing pants. As a result no 600 GS weapons can be crafted. I am unlucky as I am a WH main and my company’s WeaponSmith.
I don’t understand why they can’t just make the quest line give you a token that is redeemable once to spawn said boss and the boss drop what ever is needed for the quest and nothing more.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: Run up to the area in which the boss spawns, and find the big throne looking room empty.
Respawned on server reset and a PVP flagged guild came in and killed it immediately. This is so insane that no one is able to complete this quest. It’s a simple fix - just do it already. There’s no reason why someone can’t adjust a simple spawn timer.
It’s amazing how developers can’t provide solutions to problems like this, even in a paleatious way. Just put the item inside the chest in the same location, I’m sorry but it’s getting harder and harder to keep playing.
