Whenever I go into the world map and move it around its almost like it is stuck in 30 FPS. Same thing when I try to equip items in the inventory. I have no issues running the game and even when I move around in my inventory that runs smoothly but dragging things doesn’t. My brother has a rig that is not as good as mine and he doesn’t have this issue. I have tried looking everywhere for a fix since it is very annoying but all I can find is people that have the same problem but no way to fix it.
Hello @YungCheezeStick ! Welcome to the New World Forums!
Congrats on your first post!
I’m sorry to hear about you having choppy gameplay while in the map and inventory screens. I understand that this can be quite frustrating as the map and inventory are such key parts of the game!
As a starter, the first thing I would recommend is that you Verify Files Integrity
In order to to that, go to your Steam Library and Right Click on the New World Title > Properties > Go to the Local Files Section > Then run the “Verify integrity of game files” check. If this does not work, please reinstall the game and check if it solves the issue.
Additionally, here you’ll be able to find some other framerate drops troubleshooting:
Additionally, if these fail to resolve the issue, I’d recommend that you go ahead and Contact Us | Amazon Games so that one of our colleagues can help you raise a web ticket catered to your specific issue. May ask for your Game Logs and DxDiag file, which you can retrieve by following these steps:
Instructions for generating a DXdiag : Open and run DxDiag.exe 2 (Open and run DxDiag.exe - Microsoft Support).
Instructions for finding the in-game logs:
- Press Windows+R on the keyboard, type %appdata% and press enter.
- Open the most recent file from this folder: /AppData/local/AGS/LogBackups.
- Paste the contents of the file into your message.
I hope this information helps.
Thank you for your patience! farewell!
