We want it to be proper, but we can help test if you guys communicate what needs addressing. But you guys need to be more open about what is occuring. If there is a compiling issue, say so. If the “update” tomorrow is another pushback on the march update then the job of communicating is an utter failure. People want to know what to expect and you guys are giving absolutely no information. More like procrastinating and hoping it works so that you dont have to explain what is wrong. Which is silly and pointless and just makes your players frustrated…

I think they need to incentivize playing the ptr too, like play 50 hours get an exclusive skin. I would play if they had reasons to play…

I totally agree. We need clear information as to what you want us to test in the PTR. Otherwise you get random people that just pop on the PTR to play with the new toys and get no real actionable feedback.
So we have to wait until morning to be told there’s no update? As if there was, you’d just say “HOM Update is happening tomorrow at this time” Why do we have to wait until morning to be updated on what’s happening with an update lol.

I think they are hoping it will be ready by tomorrow morning and just leaving it open ended and vague

Would make more sense to be like " the team is working throughout the night to get the update ready for tomorrow, we make no promises but they are working hard" That would be a much better response.

To be fair, by letting us know the update was pushed back due to the late detection of a bug was all they really had to do. They have done that. Issue: Bug was found late in testing. Result: Update delayed. Notice given to community. Requirements met.
Anything more than that is not really needed, and is just feeding this weird sense of entitlement people seem to have these days. This,“We have a right to know” fallacy. In the early 2000s, or the 90s or earlier if a game was delayed, for the most part all you knew was it wasn’t in the stores on launch day. You might find a magazine with an article on it, but by the time it was in the newsstands, odds were the game had finally come out.
Bottom line is, these things happen. It’s not the end of the world. For crying out loud, it’s spring (at least in the northern hemisphere) get outside. Play a different game. Stop acting as if New World is the only game that exists in the entirety of gamedom. I promise, from the bottom of my heart, you will be ok.
This game has had push back after push back after push back. Asking for a little more info and clarifying expectations isnt a lot to ask for. This announcement feels like a high schooler who forgot to write their paper and is saying ya, I should be able to get that finished hopefully. Weve had a few pushbacks already and tomorrow we have no idea if we are getting update. We will find out what is happening then. Probably just like we found out what is happening today. Its just super late and not communicative.

They should really figure out how to incentivize playing on the PTR. Gold, exclusive skins, something.

They demand respect as working individuals no matter how well or not they are doing it.
