However, I think that flagging a server as “RP-Friendly” would at least be helpful in that it will alert the public to the fact that roleplaying is welcomed and encouraged on that server. That won’t stop the trolls, but it will warn the people who don’t care for RP what kind of atmosphere to expect.
It would also give people who want to RP, or who are curious to try it out, a way to choose a server where they’ll be made to feel welcome.
Instead of RP servers, we could turn on RP like we do PvP
Gonna add my signature/bump to this as well. Personally, I am not an RPer, but I have an appreciation for RPers in games and will either respond in kind or respect what they are doing. RPers, their groups, and the events they hold make the world seem a lot more alive and adds another dimension that I enjoy encountering in an MMORPG. I have some really amazing memories due to encountering and interacting with RPers.
I would love to be in an RP war and would love seeing the wPvP RPed as well. In ESO if I ever ran into a group in cyrodiil doing RP PvP groups I would join since it was always a blast even though I didn’t say a whole lot.
So even though I am not an RPer I totally support this request. It also saddens me to hear that RPers are being straight up harassed.

I’ve never done PvP nor RP in an MMO before but it’s definitely something I’d like to experience in this game.
I would love this as well. A roleplay/pvp dedicated server…I am not sure if any remember or played on the Catskills shard of Ultima Online… but it was a roleplayed/pvp shard which did very well in both pvp and roleplay.
100% agree this is needed. Please make it happen. There are even people similar to me who don’t RP or rarely do, but seek out RP community servers because they tend to be the nicest servers with the friendliest people.

RP Discord Channels were created during the Beta tests by players and we voted on which servers to designate as unofficial RP servers so RPers would be able to gather more easily.

Seriously, what are the odds of this really happening?
Should’ve had RP and Full PvP servers set up since day one. The more I dive into this the more the exploits, bugs and lack of simple server options to bring different types of players together turn me off and I’m about to just give up on this game.
I remember people saying Vanguard: Saga of Heroes was such a terrible launch. Don’t remember it being this bad.
The server I play in was unofficially chosen as RP. There were some kids trash talking about RP, but then several others (non-RP) stated that they chose the server because roleplayers would be there. There will always be people who try to gang up on a certain group to feel good about themselves. It is a culture in decline.
Making official RP servers could help maybe a little the roleplayers who choose to play on those servers, but then those who do not might have a harder time.

I expect that type of behavior from the moronic masses. They’re so precious, but I’m sure they’ll be back in Fortnite soon enough. So, was there an unofficial RP server that people have flocked to? I’m an old school, EQ tank with a few members in my guild that also played EQ looking for like minded folks in US East somewhere. NOT high pop.
