Congratulations, i hear some people about PW, Tibia, UO that who has married in real life too. I think that can be great to bring us another view of the game. MMORPG dosnt need to be only kill each others and getting stuffs, need to be perfect like a real life, same problems, same things.
I know of one questline involving a same sex couple in New World, but there is still a difference compared to creating an actual marriage system for players. As a Western game, it basically can not allow itself to exclude such an option in a wedding system, it would cause an outcry, but if you do allow same sex marriage in the game, you could end with problems in countries where such unions are not even allowed by law. Not sure this could even end in a ban of the game, but either way, the issue is unfortunately beset with trouble no matter what.
Lotro offered an ‘adoption’ system, basically you could adopt another player, and it also offered a surname option, a player could freely write up for themselves. The latter at least would offer players who wish to show a connection, a simply path for that.
As said, I am all for marriage systems, they can provide great fun, but benefits (if any) have to also be kept very minimal, really, to not disadvantage players who can’t partake in them (imagine someone who games, but their real life partner does not - it can cause unpleasant scenes at home if the player marries someone else in game).
So no matter what, there is a lot which needs to be considered, it is no straight forward matter by any means for a variety of reasons.
Oh hell no. I play games specifically because they are not like real life.
I dont care if you did a wrong choice of who you will marry, this is your choice, in game you can talk in voip and check is he/she who you wanna, you can marry with people who you are married in real life, its just a content that can be introduced to the game, who is char lover like another things in game, dont only pvp and DG all the time…
I would just love to see some formal connections between players that would allow sharing house and storage. As for that being a dangerous situation for theft, that would be the players fault for trusting someome they don’t know in RL.
Does anyone really want to get married on an island where you can’t die? that here forever is forever I have… that is scary and not corruption.

Well considering there are quite a few ppl who play as a different gender than they are IRL the whole same sex marriage argument doesnt really apply here.
There is more than enough posts concerning the flaws in the game. It’s refreshing to see thoughts on possible new features.

Everybody is posting about problems to fix in this game and few ppl want to make new content or thinking about other things that can be great to community. Another great think its the beer bar of all cities, its gonna be great be introduced some actions there, sit, ask a beer, food etc. Some little changes, can change the game.

This can create a “charlover” feeling, this is great to keep people playing. Its like a house, why some ppl is worring about furniture and not only with trophies?
Just war war war war war, craft craft craft its what happening in New World, ppl is tired of same sh*t. Increase GS, to do the same war with same ppl in same territory
