I understand your concern about players mass reporting other players, just letting you know that is not going to affect the how the bans are dealt with. Every report/case is reviewed by our team of moderators and they will take a look at all of the details of the account before taking the decision of giving the player a penalty or not give the player a penalty. This is all based on our Code of Conduct.
Also if you have a list of the players that are trying to abuse the report system it would be very useful for me to report them from my end. You can also report them from your end for your information.
It says that you are not accepting messages at this time, I’d rather DM this as the player from the guild on this server get exceedingly toxic and if they connect who I am I know I will be hunted down non stop on the server.
Okay, let’s assume they’re being truthful when they say all bans are approved by a human. That means the humans are so inattentive they are indistinguishable from bots. They have literally failed the Turing test.
I don’t care If i have to throw Someone under the bus. @Hunden Our server Argadnel has a company Flak Street abusing this mass report system to gain an advantage in Childhood Trauma’s war tonight in Windsward. I have been in contact with their company and know that this is how they are planning to get an advantage in this war.
This is the Server MayMallory is talking about and it needs to be dealt with. I support you guys and your development but people need to be punished.
I don’t look forward to it. Because as we repeatedly mentioned no body WANTS to provide it here because it will result in us being harassed off the server. But since you don’t want to listen when I am inevitably pushed about and harassed I know why.
Here is what we have so far:
Players bragging that they banned a player named Zero.
Players from other factions complaining about the report spam.
You can also look at the logs of players that are being reported and see that the vast majority have come from within the one company.
The logs should also reveal that the reports are made the day before a war.
As well as all this you can see the reports that come in are within a few hour period, again from the same guild.
I don’t know why mods opt not to monitor chat, but if doing so before a war one would see the gross missuse of the report system.
I myself have reported a player for attempting to instigate me into a fight, look into the report by MayyDayy on the Argandel server. The other user in question was attempting to relate me to an e-girl friend and that I was going to be obese and alone.
Before our next war I plan to live stream the chat as well, so that there will be no doubt about the toxicity this guild uses. But now that I have said all of this I assume they will quite down for just long enough to not get in trouble, before ramping it up again.
Flakstreet is an issue, and any user on the server would tell you this. But mods aren’t moderating and players are getting away with toxicity that is harassment at the least.
Hello, I understand this is a difficult situation to be dealing with. I am not part of the dev team so I can do basically nothing regarding this. However, they asked for:
When I look through your images, I see people complaining about reports. But this does not provide specific names of individuals in which to investigate if they are abusing the report feature. Do you have actual player names that can be looked into?
I myself do not like the idea of naming and shaming and honestly believe it shouldn’t be done here. But they did ask for it. I completely agree with you that the ability to DM someone like @Hunden a list of player names would be beneficial.
With that said, @Hunden please connect with the dev team to find a way of providing potentially sensitive information to devs in a safe and secure manner that is not openly public.
Specifically, a forum posting section where only Devs and the OP can see/read the post/request. Then if someone abuses this direct connection with no public view you can ban them from abusing it if needed. But as an upfront, it should be made available to the player base.
There is no way for us to PROVE that though, we can’t see the reports. We can’t see what is being reported, only what is being said in voice chat. And now that they have seen this PUBLIC forum they have decided to take this to discord only. So there is no way for me to screen shot a voice recording, and I can not look at the report logs to prove it that way.
It’s something only a mod can do, these company is being disowned by their own faction. People have complained on twitter and the forums both about them. And nothing is happening.
You would think that with this many people from all three factions complaining that the mods would at least look at the reports being made or that were made.
I understand your situation, if both of you are getting harassed for example in Discord by the players you are reporting I would recommend that you block and mute the person doing it, I understand they may change account or create a new account but look at the bright side you are helping the community by trying to get rid of toxic behavior and or cheaters and I truly appreciate that. Also the reports everyone does in-game are almost the same as mine, they will reach the moderator team and the moderator team will decide what to do with the reports.
If anyone wants me to report a player please have some sort of proof and tag me in this post and I will gladly help anyone out. I reported the players which are shown earlier in the post, as I stated before the moderator team will take it from there.
