Mass reports & Automated ban for farming a spot?

Entilted companies are mad that we tag along “their” farming spot. We always got the tag by game design (15% damage) and were able to get loot.

That made them mad because we were stealing their loot and were not PvP flagged. They are blaming me for a game design decission. They then go ahead and mass report me for griefing, getting me an automated ban minutes after the whisper message “and now you get banned for mass report”.

I guess the whole playerbase during “Server Chest runs” that are leeching others are griefing all the time and should be banned

Sad that automated bans like this are still a thing, or was there a CS-Rep handling the case within minutes?

How are they entitled? If someone else is there the common decency is to let them have it, do you also pee in the same urinal as others who are using it?

Treat others how you want to be treated and maybe you wouldn’t get reported…

I believe the OP was making a comment as to say…"these companies who see themselves as entitled "
Not that they are in fact entitled.

These companies get butt hurt because someone whom isn’t flagged is also reaping the benefits from that run which that player might even be from a different faction. So with that said …company mass reports that person.

The problem is that the CoC covers OP’s behavior as “Disruptive”.

He admits himself that

This could easily mean the guild was there first farming, OP and his buddies “tag along” meaning they disrupt this guild’s gameplay experience by attempting to leech off the farm by hitting the bare minimum 15% DPS.

To me, it seems like this was deserved.

heres the thing op. bans are not automated. its a “que”
and the more reports you get it raises you up the que higher. so if enough people reported you to push you to the front of the que, it gets reviewed first. and it DOES get reviewed by a real person.
see, we only get to see 1 side of the story, and thats yours.

now heres the thing. the possible reasons you got ban…
the first reason is…you say you were tagging along, but i see you talking about game design in your chat box as you got ban. what your doing could very well be taken as being disruptive to their game play. from what it sounds like is that you were following them around. and if your following them around grabbing mobs, especially if their group is actually grabbing them first and your just taking their groups kills. this i would absolutely consider a valid reason for you and potentially the rest of your group to be ban for.

the 2nd less likely reason is you did something in the past and were already reported and them reporting you pushed you up the que and you got ban for that. but because it says disruptive

now my question for you OP, is…why did you find in necissary to “tag along” and attack their mobs?. why didnt you guys go to another spot, when theres more than just the mobs they were killing. most areas have enough to go around.

next time id say just take your group and find your own stuff to fight.

while i do say that no one “owns” anyhting and the spot isnt “theirs” per say, id say since they were there first they had priority.

Problem is …it’s an open world. Just because one company is there first doesn’t mean they currently “own” that location.
If I came along and noticed a group smashing a named NPC…damn right I would join in to get a shot at a drop. I’ve done it and will continue to do it…I paid for this game to enjoy it just as much as the next guy/girl.

Problem lies when the OP might have internally pulled differnt mobs over to the company over and over again as to disrupt them.
