Master Repair Kits cost too much to make

the crafting cost for master repair kits is way out of whack. specifically 300 repair parts each, which is insane for the person crafting them. there are currently no master repair kits for sale in the main economic hub on my server, despite the fact that they have a valuable purpose in reducing the gold cost to repair high GS items. why do you suppose that is? because at 300 repair parts a kit, a crafter can make a total of six kits from a full parts inventory- at which point they will be in an extraordinarily tight repair parts pinch should pvp or a dungeon get dicey.

the economics do not make sense to make and sell repair kits, which should be the main money making consumable for armorers. I can sell 6 master kits in a heartbeat, only to find myself unable to repair my own items. this issue is further exacerbated by gold being easier to come by than additional repair parts, which makes me wonder if master kits were designed to be for personal use only, because right now i do not see a price point where it will make sense for both people to buy them and for me to spend the repair parts it takes to make them. this needs adjusting. thanks for listening

Not to mention that using them still costs gold.

Never build them. But really? Is it the same amount or less against the usual way?

Can someone explain how a repair kit works, and the follow up question if it will be obvious based on the answer?

I know one repair part (or a few) repairs one thing. I see it takes quite a few to make a kit. I’ve never tried one, but is it just one use in one piece? Is it something that has a durability of sorts and can be used for many repairs until it runs out?

Why would one use a kit over repair parts?

After I posted a video of it, someone posted that if you don’t have the gold you can still use the Kit – so it’s definitely a bug that they take your gold.

it takes significantly fewer repair parts to repair an item directly from inventory than it does to make a repair kit, with the tradeoff being that the kit removes the gold cost. the problem is that this makes selling repair kits on the market pointless, because the exorbitant repair parts price of kits is borne exclusively by the armorer, putting them at a disadvantage in the game that is not even remotely offset by the amount of gold you can sell these kits for

they are one time use and repair an item to full (contingent of the kit being the same tier as the item).

kits are valuable because they remove the gold cost of repairs (or mitigate the gold cost if you are buying them on the market). high level items can have a significant gold cost to repair. the issue is that the amount of repair parts it costs to make a single kit and then sell it is extremely high, which basically negates what should be the most profitable consumable in the armorer tree.
