Try not selling the slots for a low mutation? Especially for tanks.
I also tried that ![]()
In this game the umbral shards should not be given according the difficulty of the dungeon but the difficulty to make a party.
But devs and many people still think that dungeons should be a lot more rewarding that OPR.
Sad but true…
On what server you playing?
Dry Tree
This is very strange, you are probably doing something wrong. ![]()
I playing on Barri, finding expeditions is very easy.
What dungeon are you trying to run?
OP is trying to run M2 and M3 public lobbies.
Public lobbies that go down the drain is a very bad experience for everyone involved.
I’d rather just leave instead of singling people out after a ‘X’ of wipes.
The dungeon being ran also matters. M2 Dynasty is one of the harder lower level mutations to run.
It would definitely help if pvp mode rewards gave as much for your time as running the M5-M10 pve dungeons as an avenue to advance your gear.
The devs boxed out a lot of the player base with the pve gear progression system. Its such a narrowly catered system atm
I’m hoping pvp gear progression will be introduced sooner than later. I’d play OPR and Arena a lot if they give us large quantities of gear progression for our timr in there.
The current OPR is so incrimental that its notnmich of a help I agree.
It’s not strange at all, finding tanks, and healers even on Orofena is like pulling teeth. It’s only going to get worse after the patch. Nothing says fun like taking an hour to get a group for an arena, and less than 10 seconds in you are in a constant loop of reviving the the other players.
They want you to buy Umbral shards from vendors, as nobody almost makes the intermediate mutations.
This system is really bad as it fragments the player base too much to make the same content. What would be right would be that when entering the dungeon, the player would choose which difficulty he wants and would receive a cumulative debuff of up to 10x so that everyone could join the same party and no one would be harmed by the mutation system.
Groupfinder is scheduled for summer, so there will be a way to easier find and form groups, but this wont fix your issues immediatly.
Running Mutations is more of a company thing it seems.
Our company runs them on a regular basis, pushing our mates from M1 to M5 within 2-3h.
If you’re only interested in umbrals Gypsum casts on high gearscore items reward a fair amount of umbrals so even without ever stepping into a Mutation you could raise your gearscore.
If you’re after those named drops, most of them can be aquired from normal dungeons too so you’re not forced to do Mutations.
PvP reward track could also help, and those should drop at the end of this week with may Patch.
Not only mutations… I think AGS needs to start considering adding stuff into lower level content so higher level players had a reason to do such content…
I’m level 50 and need to do The Depth expedition… but not many people doing that content. I also need to go into an elite zone (5man open world) and I can’t get group even asking in chat because everyone is doing OPR, wars and high level content…
So depending on the server if you start playing NW right now you better find some guild mates that can help with lower level activities
I’m on Castle of Steel which ai think is the second most populated (concurrent users wise) so I can’t image how worse would be on lower pop servers
That’s not going to solve the problem. If I would have a group finder then it would happen the same. I would wait forever to find a group to do an M3.
But I don’t worry anymore because I practically already quit from the game. I open this post because anyways I wanted to share my concerns.
I play a lot less compared to before. Maybe two times a week knowing it is only to do two OPR for fun and go to sleep.
Because if you ask me. This game is for people that belong to big companies for everything. Even OPR. If you are in a premade in OPR the most probably you will bully the other team and if you are 625 with very good gear because your company helped you to progress in a few days what casual players need a few months then you are gonna have a great time killing people with low GS.
So from whatever side you look this game mechanically is bad designed.
The game has beautiful graphics and combat is fun which is a pity. Is like create something great from one side to have another team of devs in the other to completely ruin it.
If you got the GS you are better off joining some higher run and if you complete it then you will be able to start runs like that. Going from 1-10 is just not possible for a while. Some people will join to farm mut specific items in 1-3 but thats it basically.
For the arena, I think yes, it’s hard to find. (I don’t go to pve arenas myself
)
But it was about expeditions, is everything all right with the search for them?
i started playing as a tank since i got to level 60. coz it was so hard to find a tank specially in low/medium pop servers.
i also made a healing sett so i can heal too in case we find a tank and no healer.
but devs hate tanks and now healers too.
so i’m a dps now. coz no one cares about tanks. after new update healers will be useless too lol
gg
That was only an example of the stuff we deal with on Orofena. It’s just as hard getting healers and tanks for expeditions. Not sure why you would assume I meant only arenas. Tanks and healers are in short supply, and more left after the ptr changes were announced.
I wouldnt say its bad design per se, its designed for socializing with others to get things done.
This is something I expect from a MMORPG, but i’m an old school MMORPG player, so i wasnt caught off guard by this design Philosophy.
Sad to see you leave, but i can understand it. If you’re not enjoying the game anymore, then there is no reason to stay.
Farewell
I’m a little confused, why?
I play dps/healer myself. (and on second character i have tank build)
But there are servers that are pretty much for all intents and purpose dead. Which is the situation on Orun outside of NA east peak hours which is 4 to 6 hours.
So are you going to tell people who don’t or can’t play at peak hours. On these pretty much dead servers. Tough luck you better find another MMO to play? Because if that’s the case, then there is no medium or long term future for this game. Because core mechanics just don’t work unless there is at least 500 to 700 players on server. Orun at this time of post has 258 players.
