I think that it makes sense to make defending a territory easier than attacking, however the advantage is currently dipped too far in the defender’s favor imo.
The owners of everfall, windsward, and brightwood on my server have held these 3 territories since the beginning of the game, long before my company transferred to the server. They are currently too weak to take points from us when they attack, while we are getting 1-3 points every war before we run out of time. We’re making progress but it seems we are fighting the defender’s advantage more than this company.
Anyone else having similar experiences? Ideas for fixing this without making territory just swap hands every day?(is that even a bad thing if the companies are evenly matched?)
Yes pls, and no I don’t think it’s a bad thing to have it just be an even 50/50. I get they want it to be like a defended fort, but at most make it 60/40 then. How is 80% defender advantage acceptable? Who wants to play such an unfair game? Right now you have to heavily out slay the other team to win an attack.
I find it very balanced when the respawn timer kicks in and 20 people respawn on the last point to take - making it impossible to capture the last point.
As I said, very balanced mechanic.
Also, AGS said 85% of defenders would win (I guess like 5-10% are just not defending on purpose [that happened on our server] or are dead/dying/trash companies) and in reality defenders win with 90-95%+ probability.
