Probably, they tend to overtune things up or down and then come back and try to correct the overtuning. So I’m hoping they might do small adjustments in relation to s/s.
I say the following knowing that I am completely ignorant of programming and game design. The following is in full recognition that I continue to play and enjoy much of the game. (Admittedly I have fired up my old GW2 and Runescape accounts.)
However, I’ve played enough games with enough complexity to raise concerns when every other game I’ve played has performed better.
There is a distinct possibility that many on the team really don’t know what they are doing. At least in relation to full blown mmo’s.
Before leaping attck looks like it hits I am already staggered. I cannot dodge it unless I preemptively dodge and shield bash is the longest stun. Basically setting up a kill with almost any secondary weapon. It’s annoying and cheap. There needs to be a leaping strike telegraph
The desync associated with the skill is atrocious for those on the receiving and delivering end. My only thought to make leap → bash not as easily of a guaranteed combo would be to slightly reduce the time/frames you are staggered for when hit much like they had done with Path of Destiny. Aside from that, SnS is in an okay spot now considering the fact the 150 Strength perk is getting reverted.
The SnS just provides the 2 seconds necessary for the broken weapon to do the killing.
By that definition, any and every stun on every weapon is OP.
People will then run BB/Spear, BB/WH, BB/VG…any stun or knockdown will do the trick, and the BB exploiters will declare each and every one of them as the problem, and not the BB, in order, in order to protect their “one button ‘I WIN’ macro”.
I agree BB is overpowered in combination with Any other stun, if not stunned it’s not that hard to dodge away or counter although the amount of burst damage might need to be nerfed a little. My only issue with SnS is that every other CC is on some level telegraphed where you have time to react, with leaping strike it’s either they miss or you preemptively dodge or block in anticipation. Maybe it’s desync or something but I am completely unable to avoid Leap, I’ve tested it from multiple distances with company members.
