[Megathread] The Great February Bug Hunt

  1. Bow rapid shot makes sound but does not shoot arrow.
  2. After Aim Down Sight(ADS) shot(s) bow fire additional shot on its own (light attack / hipfire)
  3. Obsidian Voidstone recipe is still reversed - should be 2xvoidstone brick and 8xvoidstone. It is reversed.
  • How did the issue effect your gameplay: 1. terribly disruptive to battle rhythm 2. Wastes expensive arrows and is annoying to boot. 3. Stupidly expensive

  • What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: 1. Switch to rapid shot and click LMB - be sure you have something to generate 50ms latency in your lab network. 2. ADS shoot an animal till its dead, let off LMB and drop ADS - bow will shoot again on its own. 3. craft obsidian voidstone.

  • Describe the issue you are experiencing: The Void Gauntlet is acting with a lot of instability. Here are observed behaviors of instability:
    • Start Void Blade, after a few seconds (sometimes none), it reverts back to no blade, and the Void Blade shows on cooldown. This is not a keyboarding error.
    • Move while Void Blade is active, and it flickers badly. This is new. It is not just the animated pulsing.
    • Start Void Blade, go up to prone enemy, and it misses the first 1-2 swings. They should honestly suffer criticals. That aside, the whole swing misses every time it seems. I’ve given up. I just shot to start combat.

  • Describe the issue you are experiencing: Doesn’t let me disable PvP when I have a PvP mission active like it used to, while saying “Cannot change PvP flag while a PvP mission is active”

  • How did the issue effect your gameplay: Requires me to manually cancel PvP missions, rather than being able to cancel through the PvP enabling button like it used to work.

  • Were you able to recover from the issue: Yes, I can manually cancel PvP missions, but it’s very annoying to do, rather than the extremely convenient button for disabling PvP.

  • Please include a screenshot or video of the issue that you have experienced:

  • What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: Grab PvP mission, attempt to disable PvP flag, doesn’t work like it used to.

  • Describe the issue you are experiencing: Riposte still has the stutter animation when hit, effectively not giving you invincibility/counter and take damage while stuck in place.
  • How did the issue effect your gameplay: Unable to use rapier as intended, worthless in PvP.
  • Were you able to recover from the issue: Yes, after the stutter animation ends which lasts .25 sec longer than full animation without being triggered.
  • Please include a screenshot or video of the issue that you have experienced:
  • What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: Just use Riposte and have something/someone hit you and you get punished.

  • Describe the issue you are experiencing: SideQuests still not available in Edensgrove. The prior patch only partly fixed an older bug. It did enable me to get my Tier V camp with the Fading Lights quest, but the next quest in the chain, AZURE TEARS, was not triggered or available. Missing Edensbow and achievement completion

  • How did the issue effect your gameplay: Unable to obtain item, quest achievement completion

This happens about 24 hours before the invasion section begins… making it pointless to be visible at that stage.

  • Describe the issue you are experiencing: When using light armor and swapping to the bow at the end of the roll the bow queues up Piercing Shot and you aim down sight. Never pressed my Piercing Shot ability. This does not happen every time but maybe once out of 10 times.
  • How did the issue effect your gameplay: Queues an ability not pressed/used.
  • Were you able to recover from the issue: Yes, just cancel the queued Piercing Shot.
  • Please include a screenshot or video of the issue that you have experienced:
  • What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: Using Light Armor roll and swap to the bow at the end. When doing so there is a 1/10 chance it goes straight to using Piercing Shot aiming down sights without having pressed the ability.

First Achievement issue…

Achievements - Destinations - Hamlets & Outposts - 16/17

On inspection of this area - I have actually completed 17/17, but the achievement states only 16.

Second Achievement issue…

I’ve still to complete “Lazarus” - sadly, however, I have completed “Depths” several times - with no completion noted on this section.

Town Board Missions / Storage

Issue revolves around “Health / Mana / Regeneration” potions of varying types.

When you collect a misson, it knows you have potions in the bank when you check trademarket for example, but it doesn’t count them, when you go to hand in at the board. You actually have to have them on you, in order to complete the mission. With everything else seemingly working when you have items in the storage, Potions seem to be an oversight?

This isn’t a bug, it was listed in the Patch notes that the Rapier and the Great Axe would have their points reset since the skills were changed/updated.

Dodging is almost impossible now with VG/IG because of a stutter bug that happens all the time.

Weapon swap is bugged. Sometimes when I spam 2, to switch weapon the game automatically switches back to my weapon on 1.

I noticed that the character slides over the ground after a light roll. Don’t know if that’s intendet.

Crafting in german language and probably all other languages beside english does not work anymore.

Putrefying scream gets used often twice, where the first scream is just a visual bug and not a real attack.

Gravity well didn’t got nerfed, it got buffed and is way stronger as before.

counter attack perk on SnS is bug

A few spear & other desync related bugs:

  1. Sometimes when casting Skewer and you are close to a target, the lunge will desync and lunge you very far as if you whiffed and went past the enemy, but then your character will rubberband and you get the hit. See here: Skewer Desync 1

I dodged forward, cast skewer on the mob, my character lunged past him as if I whiffed but you can see the damage number still, then very shortly after I teleport right back to where I cast Skewer from.

  1. Sometimes when you skewer, you skewer in place when the target rolls away. You’re still locked in the lunging skewer animation, and there is clearly space for you to lunge, but your character doesn’t actually lunge and just hangs mid-air instead of properly following the target. This mostly happens if a target rolls away right as you Skewer, see right at the beginning of the video here: Various Ice Root Desyncs

  2. When you Riposte a IG heavy attack while the IG has the Heavy Freeze talent and you are affected by ice, your client thinks you have Freeze applied and your character glitches out for a moment causing a desync. See the same video linked in #2, where I riposte immediately after the bugged skewer. You can see a debuff show above my character “Freeze”, which is the Heavy Freeze IG perk, but it doesn’t actually apply to my character due to my riposte. I immediately dodge after the riposte ends, but my character just appears to hop in place due to my client thinking i am rooted when i’m not. It corrects itself, but it is disorienting when this happens.

  3. in the same video, when I get showered, you can see my character glitching out in-place. At 7s, I evade through the shower with my rapier and my character does this weird twitchy animation, again very distracting. When I swap to spear and block, the twitching of my character persists (note: I am holding W at this point as well). The IG then roots me again @ 10s with heavy freeze, and the same twitchy animation happens. I then dodge when I am able to again (after frostbite ends), but there is a glitchy dodge animation as well. The client doesn’t play the normal dodge animation, it’s still stuck in the twitch mid-dodge.

Using just the video which is used for point 2-4, that’s 12 full seconds of glitchy character movement. It’s pretty disorienting, and most of it is desync related (except maybe the Skewer lunge range not working properly?). This patch definitely did help with some desyncs of shower, but I hope these remaining ones can be fixed. It’s important to note that this isn’t shower specific, these types of glitchy movements happen with all roots.

UPDATE

I have more clips I’m going through, so am updating this, but here is another clip of poor client handling of Ice Shower & Frostbite: More Shower Desync

Normally, if you dodge into or through shower, you get slowed but not rooted. You’ll notice that here I dodge into his shower and I do not get the +frostbite floating combat text or a debuff on my bar showing the root. Still, my character just glitches out in place as-if I am rooted while I try to move forward. I realize that I am in fact rooted after all, and try to riposte. My client starts to riposte, you can see the animation @ around 2.3s in, but riposte doesn’t actually fire. Somehow it gets interrupted by a heavy attack, and then I almost eat a spike immediately following the heavy attack since my riposte never went off (I pressed Riposte again here, and it did go off quickly/properly the 2nd time to block the spike). This is much more obvious if you watch it in slow motion to see what’s going on - streamable allows you to adjust speed & you can see my abilities light up as they’re pressed / riposte animation start.

After the heavy freeze root is over, I fleche out. This fleche is also glitchy and desyncing. You can see the animation and camera jerkiness present in the fleche movement.

Finally, right as Frostbite ends, my character has very jerky / twitchy animation when attempting to transition from the slowed movement animation to a dodge animation. This can be seen right as Frostbite ends, at around the 8s mark.

Bump - 620GS avg 625 spear and I got a 809 backstab crit today on a med target :confused:

MUSKET SHOOTS ON ITS OWN AFTER DODGE RELOAD, HAPPENS ON GOING INTO SHOOTER STANCE TOO. THIS WILL GO ON FOR THE NEXT FEW SHOTS.

Please FIX THIS ASAP.

Seriously so discouraging to play this game when the desync is INSANE for at least spear. I think hatchet is the same.
