After 1.0.6 I have been able to reclaim my houses HOWEVER I had to travel to settlement where I have the house to get it back. I received a pop-up saying the game had detected a ‘Lost House’ which I could then enter, pay rent and use.
Storage chests DO NOT WORK until you remove them from your house, exit decoration mode, and replace them again. After this the storage capacity increased as expected.
Also all my furniture was in the house as originally placed. Including my pre-order puppy.

From my own selfish POV - I had the pre-order puppy in my WW house that is still in the house (not my storage) so do also consider that not all furniture is accessible to those afflicted by this bug. Purely monetary compensation is likely not the best solution; and without wanting to sound entitled… some of us have had over a month of missing trophies and Azoth teleport costs to towns we had houses in…

This is a megathread of all the lost housing tickets that have been going since release. Raising awareness and combing all the reports as this is the second patch with no word.
General Summary (detail in linked threads)
Seemingly after an unplanned server reset or paying taxes huge numbers of players log back in to find their houses ‘missing’. We can still see ourselves as owners in the house menu, but no ability to travel/enter/decorate/interact with our homes.
AGS support chat have sent these tickets to the devs multiple times (I contact them every couple of days chasing) and the answer is always ‘wait for the patch notes’
Some of us now have three towns over-capacity due to storage chest loses and no ability to travel the map given the Azoth costs.

I’m sure many of us will happily rebuy houses & decorations if we’re reimbursed the gold so we can afford it… (obviously those who put hours into decorating will be less happy - but as one of those people its the lack of travel & storage that stops me playing)

I reached out the german contact staff of amazon games. Ive sent in my New World log files of the day the bug happened, screenshots and my dxdiag for further investigations. They send it to the development staff. Furthermore they told me they will call me via phone, if there are any news.

I lost my t4 house many days ago, and this is affecting my gameplay on a MASSIVE scale.
I’m wasting SO many resources on things I shouldn’t, (gold, azoth and time), because i don’t have chests, trophies, the extra travel, etc.
Can’t farm, explore, participate on events, or do missions as I was used to and it’s a bit frustrating…
I was having so much fun grinding to get the house and the feeling when I finally bought it was Amazing… (I was even being competitive using most of my gold and materials to hold the first place), but now that happiness and excitement for the housing system is all gone
Even if I could afford to buy a new house that feeling would never be the same…
We are trying to get response in other topic in spanish but there and support chat does not work
At least in my case, yesterday, I went to my house, paid the rent, leaved, go back with furniture, put in the new furniture, leaved and… poof, I did not have a house anymore. All my furniture is in my inventory…
How this is possible? Please, can we have any TYPE of support about this?
Count me in for this crap as well. Lost mine randomly last night and wasted 45 minutes in support chat to be told it’s a known bug and there’s nothing they can do right now. Absurd that they can’t at least have a GM give you the gold to repurchase the house.
Even if you got your gold back, you cant even buy the bugged house. (talking from experience).
only fix right now is to buy another house that’s different from your previous one.

Issue: My house in windsward has now disappeared as well. 5K down the drain. I’ve also lost the title and achievement associated with homeownership. I still have 3 days left on taxes. It’s just gone.
EDIT: I went by the house I owned and it’s available now for DOUBLE what I paid for it. Wth is going on???
