Fstaff still functions fine. Melee is currently shit. Imagine complaining about fstaff cause its just not as good as ig/vg. You cant even hit a moving target with melee. Fuck outta here

I never suggested to nerf fs. Youre braindead kid. I was suggesting revert the nerfs to melee because it is objectively the worst combat style currently
I think both GA and FS were overnerfed, tbh. IG, LS and WH got nerfed, but they are still fine and competitive. But they really need to look at GA and FS.
Also, flex the hrs using weapon. I have way more time played melee and can confirm it was nerfed harder than firestaff. I love that fstaff users complain about melee left clicks, but a lot of your kit is fucking left clicking while melee gap closes.
Melee weapons are just like ranged weapons, varied. There should be bursty weapons with good engage, there should be continous damage weapons with good follow and there should be hard cc weapons with no easy movement skills.
Right now the first thing doesn’t work because you can’t burst IG or rapier builds. 2nd doesn’t work because firestaff and rapier have a checkout from the fight button available. 3rd does work and is a hammer and is overused by everyone because EVERYTHING ELSE DOESN’T WORK AT ALL.
So i see melee as a tradeoff: i don’t deal any range damage (obviously), i can’t keep dpsing at all times but if i position well, engage with my charge on GA and then i use my abilities to CC the opponent - i expect them to at least get heavily damaged or nearly killed. Of course they should have their melees protecting them, that should be a problem for other melees to solve.
Right now? IF i dodge properly and get through all ranged cc that is tossed at me, get through slows and ranged damage and staggers i am either: meeting a rapier that just runs away with 2x my speed or meeting a VG that slashes me with LMB for 2k per hit in full heavy and healing all my damage up.

There are no pros. I only play melee for my clan at this point and it is sucking the fun out of the game for me being frozen and 1 burst by mages

The IG nerf was kinda strange NGL. Now its among the best weapons to choose.
I think that what makes mele mad, and im mad too, is the infine root of magic weapons IG and VG.
BTW rapiers dont 360 no look stuns, you have to aim at the source of damage to stun, and you can dodge the stun.

it wasn’t - before bloodlust / lunge nerf you couldn’t kite GA with burnout and fleche not even a little bit. Maybe GA could use some lunge back, but bloodlust nerf was 100% justified
not complaining about left clicking, in fact i’m not even complaining about melee
In 1v1 situations conventional melee (strength/con) lacks the damage/survivability/movement of other roles.
From a survivability aspect running heavy armour with 12k Health Vs 20k may as well be the same when the meta is to stun/root melee and burst damage them down.
Played well melee has the ability to gap close, but we lack the ability to stay latched onto our target as well as the burst damage to annihilate someone we’ve outplayed.
In comparison the burst damage of VG and Rapier combined with their roots and stuns is kinda insane, especially when you find yourself in Ice shower/storm skills all whilst being pelted by muskets and bows.
Some suggestions:

Bring Knockdown back to Shield Rush on Sword/Shield and make Shield Rush longer (in line with charge)

Make starting animation on Defiant Stance immediate with grit and have it so that activating Defiant Stance immediately breaks all roots, stuns, slows (a cleanse/purify of all debuffs on activation)

For Greataxe bring back the lunge / pulling your target towards you.

Tone down rapier stun/damage immunity.

When multiple actions are queued , prioritise weapon switching above all else.
