Towns are dead
I like that idea.
It would work like the current bank system and so already has precedence in the game.
Interesting in theory but I would hate to see what kind of exploits this would spawn.
Yeah I already said I was wrong
I still believe that unifying is nonsense and I think one of the most viable solutions would be the one I posted:
They can leave the auction the way it is. as long as the trading post allows trading amongst all the settlements. With an interlinked trading post system I have no issues with what they do to the auction halls. Can’t ever find them anyways
“their solution is lazy but i have no clue how to fix it!”
All I needed to see. Not interested in the armchair quarterback who likes to shoot down ideas but doesn’t have any of his own.

This local trading post system would be good if resources weren’t spread across the map as much as they are now and they increased the fast travel cost when lugging more than your bodyweight. Right now I have no incentive to just buy a house in Windsward, farm my mats somewhere else and cheaply teleport back to WW to sell.
Why do you confuse trading with selling on AH?
And how would the linked AH change anything to you ase a trader in this case?
This makes no sense man.
If you are trading with people with lower price than the market anywhere. With the linked market system, people will still travel to you to trade for the lower price.
How does this system affect you?
Local economy dosent excist. The thought of tranfering goods across the boarder is a nice thought but in reallity ppl just ends up living in the 2 big cities. Its a wise move. I dont see how else they can fix this problem
If players stay in the same cities, market linking will still not work, I still believe my idea is still the best solution so far, I can give examples…
Yeah it doesn’t matter at all, it’s going to hit a few small players that think they are business men making a few 100 gold a day selling some random stuff in random zones to people who have run out of azoth
The rest of us just have a house in everfall or windsward and just TP there for next to nothing and use one or the other
By addressing the problem directly.
The problem is not market activity.
The problem is an imbalance in income for settlements.
The actual problem can be addressed without touching the market. Trying to spread player activity and taxation is just the solution AGS has chosen to try and a fair number of players are against that change.
Hey OP,
Go post in the Public Test realm, posting here will only get you denominator replies from people interested in playing WoW with New World graphics. It’s literally not worth the amount of times you’ll pinch the bridge of your nose and it’s basically the Pigeon vs the Crow meme.
- What is your character name in New World: Xylo
- What server/world did you experience your issue on: Tir Na Nog
- Describe the issue you are experiencing: Auction house did not return my items which did not sell, I have lost so much money/items…
- Is this a bug or an exploit: Bug
- (if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay: I have lost my items!
- (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: No. no no
I did have a few suggestions but to say I knew the answer would have totally stupid right? I probably should have worded it better granted.
Did you actually read the really good ideas people had.
I any case your post is moot, if you bothered to read the thread you would know why…
I already said I was wrong
They aren’t.
People are posting it in barren areas because someone will need it right that moment and will eat the cost. The value of the item isn’t higher. For example I’m at 60 azoth and I’m in weavers, I needed 1 starmetal Ingot for a quick craft and someone had it posted for 15 coin. The price in Central trading hubs that has active players is 0.75 coin. I have my azoth to travel and I’m not about to run to ever fall for 1 starmetal ingot.
That’s not an economy that’s players knowing how to abuse the system in place. Is it terrible? No not really.
There isn’t a economy just very few players throwing stuff up at 2-3 times the cost because they can.
When I have azoth I will never buy anything outside of ever fall and windsward because the economy in other places don’t exist. It’s just companies in those barren towns trying to actually make coin to upgrade which they can’t. 20-50 individuals aren’t going to magically make reek water have an economy unless they absolutely hoard resources in mass or try to choke the other cities by buying their stuff and selling it at a loss in reek water.
I don’t play WoW
