So basically… they need to put wars and all that stuff on hold, one of the most important things in the game, a reason why a lot of people bought the game (including me)?
I think they will not do that for some good reason’s.
Players who own a territory can do everything, raise taxes very high, without fear of losing the territory. Next to that it would be really unfair and game breaking.
I will stop playing if they do that because it’s one of the main reason’s why I bought the game and at the moment I am working with my friends and my company to get our own territory.
I think players should get a message before a war that if they are willingly using and exploiting bugs and stuff to cheat that they risk a permanent ban. And other players should report players doing it.
Meanwhile they should work on it to fix it.
The lag bug is also still there right?
It’s really bad.
But I rather have that players report other players who are willingly exploit it to cheat, and get banned. And that they work on a solution meanwhile. Then just to put all the wars on hold.
That’s also unfair.
I Heard the mechanic and I am not going to post it. A streamer was showing it and it was replicated through his viewers. It makes you unbillable due to hatchet Defy Death ability combined with some other use cases.
If players were to decide that they would raise taxes during the hiatus, they get political feedback through another war on their territory or a lost of alliances from their faction’s companies. War hiatus while they solve a problem is still a horrible idea depending on how long it takes to fic those issues. a week, sure not bad, a month, that gives companies with territories a lot more power.
And the exploit abusing faction could just take the territory, raise taxes to the max, and with the exploit others just can’t take it from them.
Not disabling wars until this is fixed is just stupid.
That’s not how it works. The town board quests are projects paid by governor; no projects = no town board missions except the freebies at lower right. Non-payment of the weekly maintenance fee = downgrades. Invasion loss = downgrades. No projects = all the revenue with no expense.
If you see this, take your tax money elsewhere. Or get your faction to declare war and improve the situation.
You seem to not want to see that - apart from exploits - this is intended. Players have a lot more agency to make changes in New World than in other games. If you don’t like how other players are playing the game (including being jerks), you have the power to change it via war, taking your tax gold elsewhere or finally, rerolling on a different server.
Re exploits, we can only wait until AGS plugs the holes and fixes the issues.
Not going to lie. The first part from the one who posted this really does not seem like an exploit, it legit was just ping issues (They did never got down to low hp, and “spike them” means damage them in games like Gw2, from (did not know guild wars had a wiki but): A spike (also high damage density , focus fire damage or burst damage
What you showed right there, with the hatchet is an exploit. But those 2 issues are extremely different. Because those on the point had hammer/axe, not hatchet, and obviously moved weirdly + got healed up.
