Meta ranged builds

Wow he really doesn’t use hearty as a mage. Lol

Firestaff pumps at 200 con. But it’s balanced because they’re forced to play close range. Proving my point

It’s not balanced because you don’t even have to aim at this point. Shoot your heavies and fireballs at the ground and pop your insta-pillar. Boom, dead enemy.

No and people who told him he needs to run it he just argue with and then I guess block us. Only reason why I chirped was because he said my name suits me. Lawl.

They do not.

Also, they aren’t looking at it from the side of the attackers either. I don’t think that the people actually just sitting outside of the outpost shooting through the door find it very fun either, but they do it because they are the type of people who are risk averse.

Well that sounds like a person that’s just going to have a rough time no matter what in this game.

I wasn’t trying to be rude to the guy but ya he thinks he isn’t the problem for his deaths and score etc, just melee being over tuned or 5 man’s dominating. I am total fine if people want to complain if they have valid points etc but you can’t be complaining about melee being too oppressive and then post videos of you getting run over while not having hearty and also just standing afk flamethrower then while they cast shockwave and don’t dodge :skull:. How can anyone take that seriously. Respectfully.

Respectfully, he’s a free stack.

Melee in New World is pretty much auto tracking with very little need to aim.

FS on the other hand gets punished if they don’t manually continue to track the target.

WTF are you talking about. The game pretty much force feeds melee the win.

Tracking for melee is absolutely necessary due to the desync that we all experience. For a second, imagine what it would be like if tracking were gone from melee. Then imagine you using those weapons to catch whatever build you’re running right now.

I’m 100% sure that if you were to comment on that video and ask him “is desync a problem for melee still?” He would say “absolutely”.

Like I said. You never actually need to directly hit your target with the firestaff to kill them with it. Isn’t that weird? You can shoot the ground next to someone the whole time and kill them.

But earlier you said…

So now we can just confirm that you are just another forum troll.

You literally need to aim melee attacks dude. Some have cleave, some have longer range, but you still need to aim them. Tracking isn’t NOT aiming

Would you like to stop ignoring everything else I said now?

Just go watch a bunch of YouTube videos of melee combat in New World. It’s actually pretty hard to miss.

Nono, I want YOU to do it.
You need the first hand experience

This 100%

Goes for bow, fire staff, ice gauntlet, void gauntlet, and so on.

If it shoots something, you should be forced to run under 100 con to be able to do any noticeable damage.

Would legit fix the bow/fs OPR over night.

Want to fight away? Then you need to be easily punished if caught by melee.

Only an issue for those idiots running around with two melee weapons in PvP.

When you look at the game as a whole of course the damage numbers should be similar for both ranged and melee weapons. That’s called balance.

In PvP ranged will have the ranged advantage, that’s never going away. If they nerf ranged damage that just hurts the balance of the game as a whole for the sake of being fair to the players that want to PvP with two melee weapons. Then it just makes two melee weapons meta for every aspect of the game. That’s stupid.

I’m not opposed to giving musket damage fall off, but if AGS wanted to fix people camping on rocks and longrange burst tf out of people, they failed, and the ruin the most fun part of musket which is being rewarded for being accurate. Why would they give people in shooter stance perfect accuracy back if unfair range advantage was the problem they intended to fix? and instead they’ve made midrange impossible for people to play cause it’s all RNG now

Totally agree, if you’re aim sucks so bad that they close the gap, then it’s the melee’s fair win. Same other way around, should be rewarded for being accurate

No it’s not lol. Also I think that you’ve combined two things that I said there.

Idk I haven’t seen a musket get more than like 25kills in a match since patch. And that guy died a bunch of times as well. Seems to be more in line with most of the other weapons now
