Midgard Governor stole couple 100K and valuables and transferred server

When you got nothing else to say in your defence and have to steer the discussion in another direction.
HyperXS gone wild.

Okay, so you left and took the money exactly as OP said. So… thanks for coming clean?

This is why you should join prestigous guilds where leadership has proven and established they deserve trust. Your basically saying you handed a stranger thousands of dollars and asked them to hold it and are surprised you can find them again. Sucks but thats the risk you have in a guild where you dont know the leaders.

There’s no real wrong here, he is governor of the company.

This is like the real life 17th century! Steal a bunch of stuff then off to a new country!

Midgard dead.
DRY TREE ON TOP

And yet those same ‘trusted, proven, blah blah’ are just as likely to do the same thing as anyone else.

Rule one of games: trust no one, unless you have known them personally in real life for many years (no, this doesn’t mean played online games together it means REAL LIFE) and feel they are not the sort to shaft you.

Otherwise, where there is a large temptation to run away with large amounts of gold, people will do so and shaft others along the way.

Or they will take the enormous piles of gold controlling companies could make and sell it for some easy RL money (a situation entirely avoidable and entirely in Amazon’s power/design).

It’s almost as if Amazon went out of their way to design a game where people could shaft others or lord it over others as a core of the design, then are left wondering why the game population imploded…

Well this circles back on why players should not make so much gold from owning territory to begin with.

I know this guy (HyperXS) from the “Amenti” server. He was an extremely toxic person who constantly teased the people around him, cursed at them about their family members. The kind you never want to know in real life. I can’t believe how people trusted him and entrusted him with their money. Amazon needs to ban people like that.

We have 3 claims = we get income = hes Governor. Wdym?
Its not like we handed him over thousands of gold on our own by player to player trade

Also this.

Im saying remove gold income from territorial ownership. Remove tax control. Make taxes a gold sink anti inflation meassure. Have taxes adjust at a fixed rate based on territorial upgrades. Allow upgrades strictly via board projects no gold required. Give daily reward chests to company owners in each territory and make the rewards very compelling but bop. Rare unique skins, emotes, maybe have an owners section on faction vendors that uses special currency you only get in those chests. Give level appropriate gear rewards that are smart and attempt to mimic gear the player equips or have multiple chests to choose from.

Have owner qol benefits like 1k extra storage in that town. Better rewards from participating in wars and invasions if you own the territory. Etc.

But increase appeal of ownership while nerfing cash benefits. Solve so many issues at once.

Midgard having more upcoming wars than Dry Tree, lol.

Ruin his own reputation for just 100k?

Well, the governor my previous company Ghost Legion took all of our gold and switched factions to be on the dominant team. So yeah, people are selfish fucks.

He already has no reputation. Anyone who knows him knows how toxic he is. They also mentioned that they stole 300,000, not 100,000.

:joy: I laughed

well atleast it looks like the word is out on the new server atleast guys.

Welcome to NW.

No action will be taken against him, the game allows griefing and toxic behavior to grow and thrive. Let the players run the game, what could go wrong?

There is an other game where indeed it is the core design. It is all about shafting others over.
But that did not explode, it actually is on the market for almost 20 years now.
