But you can layer the out of game map ontop of the game still so what you said in the other thread is irrelevant.
Where’s your position in the out of game map? What’s your facing? How close are you to the node?
my positon is the center of the out of game map, just like the minimap does. my facing is north just like the minimap. my distance is the same in both.
We’re comparing green apples and red apples here, not apples and oranges.
As said before, thank you to all involved for perfectly exemplifying the issue with AGS wording. Nobody knows who’s right.

At the end of the day there’s no real way for them to ban for it. May as well use it. Friends have been using since Day 1. Plus the game is garbage, even if I get banned I’m not losing much. Pretty simple cost/benefit analysis.

No, we do know. The issue is those like you who want to pretend not to know are acting like flat-earthers who find fault with and dispute every piece of evidence that the world is round.

I’m not talking about developers but members from the community…
Community members arent in a position to create whitelists, as they have no insight about what developer decisions are being made and there being no public api to use.

Becuase i have hopes that the game will NOT be garbge obviously. It’s a time investment, you know, like literally every single other MMO on earth?

Looks like people have nothing to complain about the game anymore and are just digging anything to keep the forum going. The engagement here is greater than the game itself.

I read several threads of discussions on the minimap topic. And not only on this forum.
The question is different. Why can’t developers add a normal, functional and customizable minimap? Indicating resources, cities, chests, etc. Except maybe other players. Or, alternatively, a new ability could be added: for example “perception”. The more it is pumped, the more distance you can see other players.
A minimap wish is a reasonable wish. The desire for the interface to be as informative and convenient as possible is a reasonable desire. If the main map does not show the location of resources, although the Internet is already full of various interactive maps. This means that it is wiser for developers to include all these elements in the large map and also, accordingly, in the minimap. And the question will be removed by itself. And the minimap should really display everything you need, and if only your position and nothing else, it will corrupt the game. This will provoke the creation of mods, violation of the rules, bans, etc.
There is such a term - corruption capacity. This is how much the rules or laws themselves provoke their violation.
Everyone here paid to play. So I mean nobody wants to be banned. I mean that everyone wants to play at a high level of their own performance, to have a convenient, customizable interface and other conveniences such as a minimap, distance measurement, smart tags, etc., in general, to have fun for which it was paid.
And at the same time, no one violates anything. Getting all of these amenities must come from the developers and must be legal.

I want to legally have a cool interface. The just desire of the person who paid.
Players should have all of this by default. Well, or a little later to get hold of all this, since the game is still new and developing.
Conclusion - developers should integrate a fully functional minimap into the game. And then, at least in this matter, everyone will be happy. And who does not want to - can turn it off (minimap, and indeed the entire HUD, if such a desire arises).
