So, I have full 4 pieces of mining gear equipped, which gives me a total of +13% chance to find a rare item when mining. I also have been eating my potatoes, cause you know that’s how you get lucky at mining.

I have got my mining skill up to 110 now, which as you all know means hundreds (more likely thousands) of boulders/ores smashed open. I have got my fare share of rare resources from the ore, but NOT A SINGLE ONE FROM BOULDERS.

I have been trying to get a Sliver of Adderstone, which apparently is a rare drop from boulders, and in nearly a week of playing, I have not found a single one, nor have I ever seen one on any trade post, or found anyone in chat who has managed to find one…

Are these bugged? Has ANYONE OUT THERE FOUND ONE???!!

You could be right; It could be bugged… do you have an estimate of how many boulders you’ve mined in that time? They may just be extremely rare. I know fae iron is pretty rare and I only found an average of 1 per 4000 iron ore with a mining skill of 125-150

I have been mining boulders for two days with 14% bonus and lv105 mining. Still nothing.

There are also potions to drink that increase your luck. Try to add that in and see what you get.

I’m guessing its some janky math like there is a 0.01% chance for it to drop, then a 14% boost makes it 0.0114% instead of a 14.01%. Making your 14% bonus luck have such a miniscule increase to overall chance as to not even be worth it!
