I was conflicted whether this should be reported as a bug or just feedback, but in the end I think it needs to be treated as a bug because there’s no arguable benefit to what’s happening. It’s not a matter of opinion; it’s a glitch that needs to be addressed.
- What is your character name in New World: Zoltar MacRoth
- What server/world did you experience your issue on: Delos
- Describe the issue you are experiencing:
Some of the crafting stations have had the order of their categories changed; the smelter is a prime example of this where “Metals” used to be above “Precious metals” but is now below.
The problem is, on first opening the Smelter, the “Metals” category initially appears on top, but after 1 or 2 seconds it shifts to below “Precious metals”.
This is annoying, as it’s possible for a player to start reaching for a particular item in metals, only for it to move away. Of course, the workaround is to wait for 2 seconds for the menus to adjust themselves, but the bigger issue is that this just looks ugly. The menus should arrange themselves BEFORE they’re displayed.
- Is this a bug or an exploit: BUG
- (if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay: Minor annoyance on opening crafting stations, and waiting until categories have adjusted themselves.
- (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: Yes
- (if a bug) Please include a screenshot or video of the issue that you have experienced:
- What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced:
Open crafting station; typically smelter is the best example of this; the menu will initially show “Metals” above “Precious Metals”, but wait two seconds and it change so “Precious Metals” is on top.
