I had to disable the Global Chat, as some players do nothing also but complain about the game and the devs team all day long. Their endless rant has the only purpose to discourage others from playing. If they want to be heard they have the proper channels to do so, but what they are looking for is to grief those who like the game and keep on playing and having fun while the dev team addresses the technical issues.
For new players is very depressing to see the over-exaggeration, the doomsday comments, the fake server attendance numbers, the dramatic expressions like “This game is dead” or “I have nothing to do” or yet “Everybody is leaving” the funny part is they won’t leave the game, the complainers stay to make sure everybody alse is being affected by their depressive and pessimistic comments, that everybody also become as miserable as they are. When I asked if they have finished the questlines, leveled up all weapon skills, played in every PVP mode available, or completed all dungeons their answer was “Do you mean, the broken content?”.
These people are just there sitting on their depressed arses and using the general chat to try to convince others that the game is trash. I don’t get their point, if the game is bad people will notice without their help, but because most of the players keep on playing they need to pass over their negativity through depressing comments. I call this griefing because they are ruining other players’ experiences. If they have a complaint to do they should use the feedback field or yet, call customer services live or through a web ticket, there are also review sessions, but no, they are not satisfied by only leaving their feedback behind, they try to ruin the game for those that are having fun with their catastrophic predictions based on data they took from their own asses.
AGS should ban people that grief other players with endless rants on Global Chat.
