In a recent update “Posted Notes, and Public Bills” was added to Mourningdale. However, the journal requires 4 pages and only pages 2 and 4 were added to the game. We gave feedback since November 2021 that missing lore pages were a problem, and rather than fix it, the devs added another incomplete journal. It’s like they’re literally just trolling the completionist community at this point because we play the game differently than others.

Thank you for reporting this. I just want to let you know that I have properly documented and submitted this game behavior to our team for further investigation. At the moment, we cannot make any promises about a definite fix. Though please stay tuned on our official channels to make sure that you would not miss any update.
Could this be added to the “known issues” list so it doesn’t fall off? I’m not sure if you saw the previous post which I linked, but I received a similar response back in October 2021, and there has been no news since to indicate that this is even something the team is aware of as far as having a ticket or having it on a list or anything of that sort

I believe that this page has been removed from the game entirely since the chapter shows as having 5 pages in total for me
Location – Northeastern Mourningdale – Head southwest from the Shrine of Orion (if you’ve unlocked the Spirit Shrine, of course) – The lore page is on top of a stone by a glowing blue fire pillar
NOT TO MENTION! lore pages are locked behind in main quest portal. You cant go through and get your lore page once you enter and left that is game over for you. I noticed just few days with in the start of the game when 3rd party website can show lore pages now it is locked behind portal during the main quest
I’d also just like to add that it’s extremely frustrating to have your “NEARLY COMPLETED” achievements be a constant reminder of this bug. Every time I open my achievements (if they even open at all), I’m reminded that what should be “nearly completed” is actually impossible to complete at all, and has been since the launch of this game. The entire column where I’m supposed to see an overview of my achievements is also bugged and displays 0/x for every single category (and this is on instances where I don’t open my game to only see a massive 0/00% and have the whole thing be bugged out).
The reason I quit this game back in March was because there were so many unaddressed, long standing issues that stop players from participating in the game the way they want. Personally, I’m an achievement hunter, and New World is a game that has achievements which are quite literally impossible to obtain for no other reason than bugs, bugs, bugs. I really hoped that if I waited nearly 6 months to come back, these issues would be resolved, but not a single one of the ones I’ve reported has been. Please excuse my frustration, but this game has so much potential to be great, and it feels like more content is being pushed rather than just cleaning up what is already there.
Forgive me for the bump, but it’s very hard not to be skeptical about this slipping through the cracks (again), after having reported it initially more than 6 months ago, and seeing multiple others report this over the course of almost the last year, never with any update other than “yeah, we’re aware”.
These missing pages, along with a handful of other bugs, are preventing people who choose to be completionists from playing the game the way we enjoy.
It appears that most of known list of issues with pages will need to be updated after next patch.
As a side note, a lot of completed achievements will be removed in the “Quest - Territory Stories”. Mostly due to the new new player experience starting areas.
It looks like an entirely new journal was added to Mourningdale (“Posted Notes, and Public Bills”)… but guess what? Only pages 2 and 4 are in game, pages 1 and 3 are completely missing even though they show up in the required chapters. Adding this to the massive list in the first post. No idea how they add another journal but leave it incomplete… we have been asking for them to add/fix bugged/missing journal entries since November 2021.
Bump this. Issues exist as of yesterday. Wincroft’s Journal is completely missing for Tales of Edengrove.
I don’t know how these have been overlooked for so long. Putting the hours in to find and read all the lore just to find that a ton of it is bugged was really frustrating.
Finding it has been an issue for over a year is worse.
Not spending anymore money in-game until they resolve it.
Think something is bugged now with The Vitae Aeternum Pact. I have Truth Proposal (book 1) in both First Light and Windsward. Where Shield of Faith (book 10) should be in Windsward there is now another copy of Truth Proposal.
