Hi, Finally able to log back on after a 14 day forum ban where CS & Mod team failed to inform me that I was banned, why or how long but kept me on a wild goose chase for two weeks with no answers. I just logged on one morning to discover I could not log in.
Now that I am back I see no notices on my account about this either. After 12 days of contact with CS, the mod team finally responded with “we do not accept forum appeals”
So would anyone from the mod team at least be able to DM me with the information ? How am I supposed to know what I can and cannot say on here ? All my post history is still here so I don’t understand.
Yes I know, you are supposed to get a private notice but there is nothing except notifications of responses and likes to my last posts on here 14 days ago.
every time i get banned i dont even get an email, and when i try to login it tells me to make a new account.
this forum is just a repackaged garbage forum that they bought, and didnt develop their own. its the same tech that the wow forums use. they also dumped their own forums in favor of this garbage product,
well no under your profile is a message tab and in there are messages that say whether a post has been flagged, or removed and I have couple from 4-5 weeks ago that were nothing. But nothing at all from two weeks ago, no flags, no mod notices no posts removed.
Infact my last posts where just discussing the storage capacity.
This is why I still would appreciate a message from the Forum team. Because every day I have seen vile posts on here that only seem to get 24 / 48 hr bans. I am enfuriated to the point I haven’t logged in to the Game since Lux dm’d me on discord to tell me I was banned and then banned me from there too. It put me off playing the game altogether.
i dunno every time i got banned i just straight up couldnt login to see any messages from mods. and it was definitely a ban because they all happened in the middle of arguments with the intellectually inferior average new world forum user.
Oh, then I must’ve had a 24 hour ban yesterday. It kept asking me to create an account. Hell, I even put a ticket in for it. And no, I was not informed what had happend.
That’s good to know. I’m still not sure why. I even pm’d the moderators to figure it out. I will say, it wasn’t that big of deal. The ticket folks were super nice. I just didn’t understand what was happening. I thought something was up with the forums.
Although, a little communication goes a long way, especially in regards to bans. You have to have specificity when banning someone, or else there is no way to prevent it in the future.
Indeed but the mods also said they dont accept tickets/appeal for forum stuff either so basically you just get a blackout.
Mine was probably just for critizism but come on two weeks compaired to 24hr, no reason given and no appeal process is not good. Especially when CS tell you speak to Steam Support etc…
