More lagging and freezing despite being told the issue will be fixed

I posted a topic over 2 weeks ago and through the process of getting the issue fixed I was told to wait 48-72 hours and the issue will be fixed, but it has been about 2 weeks since I got that message and am still dealing with massive amounts of lagging and freezing along with the high CPU usage. It is just frustrating because I love this game but have not been able to enjoy it for a little over a month now.

Hi @dyingling1234

Nice to meet you adventurer.
What troubleshooting steps were taken so far?

I have done as much as I can do on my end. I have run all troubleshooters that I can think of along with making some changes to help my situation but what I went through with you guys on your end was giving my game log files along with a DxDiag report and after that I was given a ticket number along with my issue being escalated to the team that takes care of these problems and was told to wait 48-72 hours. I would assume that whatever was found must have been on the game’s side of things because I wasn’t offered any advice or solutions.

Hey I feel ya man. I’ve done my share of troubleshooting and “engineering” to make my life easier. High latency is my biggest issues but I have found a few things that has helped that. Mainly a VPN. Very High Latency Since Last Weeks AWS Outage

I also have done some PC work that might help:
Ingame settings:

Block the Gamecrash uploaded for new world, it causes random high spikes:
BLOCK inbound/outbound firewall rules: Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\New World\Bin64\GameCrashUploader.exe

Increase your Paging file size for your game drive directory:

Very Carefully make a change in your regedit.msc to have new world always start in “high afinity” : Change Hkey value (This is regedit.msc , be very careful making registry changes!): Go to → HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options

Right click on this folder and create a new key called “NewWorld.exe” (no quotes)

Right click on the new NewWorld.exe folder and. create a key called “PerfOptions” (no quotes)

Right click on the new PerfOptions folder and create a new DWORD (32 bit) called “CpuPriorityClass” (no quotes)

Double click on CpuPriorityClass in the value window change the value to 3

Also, make sure your Power options is always set to “Performance”

good luck man, hopefully this will help with some of your issues and hopefully they’ll get around to my high latency issue as well!
