Mouse cursor disappears on respawn screen - cannot respawn

  • What is your character name in New World: Rhagy

  • What server/world did you experience your issue on: Nysa

  • Describe the issue you are experiencing: After dying in the Tempest Expedition I was taken to the respawn screen where you usually click on ‘Respawn’ to revive at the nearest shrine. My mouse cursor had completely disappeared meaning I was unable to click on the ‘respawn’ button. I tried many combinations of alt+tab, opening/closing the steam overlay etc and none of these seemed to work on demand. I encountered this issue twice in the expedition, the issue somehow resolved itself the first time (I do not know how) but the second time I had no choice but to alt+f4 the game and when I immediately tried to log back in I was placed in a 1000 player queue with seemingly no grace period.

  • Is this a bug? Bug

  • (if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay: I was unable to respawn after dying and had to alt+f4 the game. When I tried to log back in no grace period was given and I was placed in a 1000 player queue. This not only affected me but also my teammates who were unable to complete the expedition.

  • (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: The issue occurred twice, the first time the problem inexplicably fixed itself, however I was unable to replicate this the second time and was forced to alt+f4 the game.

  • (if a bug) Please include a screenshot or video of the issue that you have experienced:

  • What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: I’m not sure, this happened twice when I died during an expedition, but there were many deaths so it did not happen every time.

  • When did this happen? (Date and Relative time; please include your timezone) Approximately 18:50 GMT (UK time) on the 10/09/2022

Welcome to the New World forum community, Rhagy.

I’ll send this over to the development team for you.
