MSQ "Triumphant Return" will not progress

• Describe the issue you are experiencing: MSQ Triumphant Return is not progressing… and I think one of the water sources is missing.
• Is this a bug? It’s a bug
• (if a bug) How did the issue affect your gameplay: Can’t progress main story
• (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: No. I have tried reseting, relogging, reseting and relogging, relogging while out of zone. i verified my file integrity. i even tried it on another computer.
  Someone else was able to come in and do the quest normally, while I was there floundering.
• (if a bug) Please include a screenshot or video of the issue that you have experienced: New World - MSQ "Triumphant Return" is not progressing - YouTube
• What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: Go to quest spot, can’t progress it.
• When did this happen? (Date and Relative time; please include your timezone) December 23rd, 2022. 5pm PT.

I have the solution. I ended up at this same quest on another server, and noticed that it was giving actual water into your inventory. The quest worked fine there, and got me thinking.

The solution to this ticket… was to not have water in the action bar slots (where you put food and potions, etc) I logged back onto Golffoxian, and tried to take water, which failed as described. I then removed water from my action bar… and the “Need 3X water” immediately went away, and is now showing the water count as I hover over a fire.

At minimum, get this onto the known issues list.

This quest should either be upgraded to handle water mounted in an action slot, or use special “quest water” to avoid this issue.

Take whatever action you feel is appropriate.
