As it is mentionned in the title i was wondering if i missed something or if there is nothing to do about. I have a gtx 1080 sli configuration (2 graphic cards) and there is no way to make them work with NewWorld, tried everything possible.
Are there any solutions that i haven’t heard of to make my both gpu work, and increase my fps rate or condamned to play with only 1 card .
i also have a problem with two GTX 980 in SLI mode, the second card practically does not load. I contacted amazon support with this problem and registered the appeal (Case ID: 1b182ff6-2f1d-4283-b115-36d71d8f1ea1), because most likely there is a problem with the game client.

Indeed, The 6% you are seing on your second card is probably coming from the browser if opened or some other windows applications. New World only uses one single card. It’s a DirectX 12 game and therefore it is supposed to have multi GPU support from software development if they Devs did something for it since Nvidia abandoned the case.
I have tried many options including the Nvidia Profile Inspector , with a forced two cards usage, with AFR - AFR2 , SFR, CFR. None of the below options are functionnal, my fps are way worse than with one card.
Quite sad, the dual gpu delivers high power when the 2 cards are functional and New World does need some of it, especialy in pvp where my fps are aweful. Trying to get a new card is at best complicated and the prices are delirious.
There are quite some people using multi GPU, hopefully some one will bring a solution to the nightmare.
Yeah but Devs aren’t optimizing games for SLI anymore, some games still have usage for SLI but SLI now is kinda dead if you plan on SLI or crossfire with a current Nvidia or AMD card forget it two GPUs do look cool in your rig but it’s pointless now in most games.
unfotunately yes , it has a quite weird fonction , usually if you force alternate frame rendering (AFR) or split frame rendering (SFR) it does work quite well. In this case, forcing it via Nvidia panel or with Nvidia Profile inspector , it does activate both gpu’s but the frames are worse than with a single one, has no sens. AFR1 is not terrible ,Latency between cards is hight, AFR2 instead has no latency (20ms which is quite low) but same thing, frames are lower than with one single card.
Still digging to try something to work, since buying a new card atm (rtx 3k+ or amd rx) is no way close to happen with no stocks anywhere.
That being said, it seems it does not uses DirectX12 aswell, it was on dx12 on betas according to some people on reddit and is now turning on dx11 for some reason.
So, New World does not support multi-GPUs or just SLI? I have 2 RX 580s that have crossfire disabled because it seemed like enabling it did nothing. Would love to be able to use some better visual settings.
I also have the same issue. Just like @countdiepro I have opened a support ticket with amazon (Case ID: ed801d89-c8cb-4281-a121-16f8e35986e5).
I strongly recommend for all of you who have this issue to open a ticket with amazon support. The more voices complain about SLI support, the bigger the pain on their end and the faster we might get a resolution to our problem.
Currently I have not received any updates related to my situation. I will come back here and update the forum post once the tech teams gets back to me.
Nvidia discontinued all kind of support and upgrades of SLI profiles for development in January of this year.
Sadly, you can’t really expect to get any real boost performance from SLI anymore in modern games. Only will work in games that were specially optimized at the time when SLI was still around.
