Hi New World team,
I thought I’d make a post with a couple of suggestions that I think would immensely improve not only the game experience in some aspects, but the gamer satisfaction with New World as a whole. I’ll start off with what I think would be the most realistic and implementable suggestion in regards to trade posts.
Trade Post Suggestion
Currently, within the trade post, you allow us to refine our search by level (if we are able to wear it), cost (if we are able to afford it), Gems and Perks:
This is great, but something I find myself doing quite often is scrolling through 10’s of pages worth of items, hovering over each item to check their bonus stats (e.g. +12 Focus, +10 Constitution, etc.). I think it would be very well-received to add an additional option to refine our search further by bonus stats (and not just one, but two). By this I mean perhaps a menu that allows you to choose between 1-2 (or none) bonus stats (e.g. Focus and Strength, Strength and Constitution, just Focus, etc.).
Scheduled Update Suggestion
This suggestion may have mixed feedback but I think it would be most beneficial of all the suggestions, regional-based update times.
It is now clear to us that you are able to take down one server (e.g. EU), while having another online (e.g. US-E), from recent updates. Not only this, but your updates are excessively long (of course, I understand it may not be literally, excessively long, but this is what majority of the player-base feels from my general surveys of opinions).
To combat the complaints about downtime for updates, I suggest that you implement strategies to host regional-based updates, so that one world is not offline in their peak time. For example, the most recent update took AUS worlds offline from 9PM, which is in amongst peak time for the server. I have also seen posts where servers were offline during peak times for other regions. If you were to do your updates between 2PM-7AM AEST during the week, I guarantee there would be far less critical feedback as most people are sleeping for work, school, etc. This applies to all regions and their respective timezones.
Post-Clarity Suggestion
In my opinion, some of your posts and responses are insanely vague and while look like they provide a lot of information, really don’t.
I’ll take World/Server Transfers as an example. We have seen multiple official posts that say “next week”, “later this week”, etc. and those deadlines come around and nothing is provided, not even an update. While I understand you are trying to ensure the transfers are absolutely flawless before release, you still are yet to provide us a date as to when this will happen other then the continuous pushback of next week and so on.
I think it would be very well-received by the player-base if you were to provide actual deadlines. You know what you have to do, you know what you have to test. If you were to say “Server Transfers are expected to be live by 31/10/2021 if all goes well.”, this gives us a date to expect them around, rather than us thinking “will it be this week? will I get to play with my friends this weekend?”, only to be disappointed.

Character Support
I don’t know about the rest of the regions, but I think AUS would benefit from having character support for different languages (i.e. Korean), this place is so vast and diverse, there is so many languages spoken in the Oceanic region, there is entire companies dedicated to people that can speak their native tongue to each other (i.e. Corea company). I think it’s almost silly to not have any support for characters outside of the English lettering.

AutoRun Tabbed
I feel like majority of the playerbase around the world would love to see the ability to autorun while viewing their inventory. There are often times when I am doing elite runs or similar content and wish to salvage a boatload of items while autorunning to the next destination, but simply can’t. I think it’d be understandable if you were unable to, for example, change gear while running as you can’t while items are on cooldown. But the ability to autorun and view your inventory, salvage or drop items, etc. would be an amazing feature.
