I played musket a lot before RNG. Theo nly thing you 2 tap is 5 con no resist low players. That all. End of line. Nothing else. I seen tanks that I taped for no more than 500 on long range.
None of my other build had issued you are describing here. NONE. Because I always acknowledged that there are range classes and you need to sacrifice some dmg for durability.
I was never flamed on OPR by good player with decent gear. The only cry babies that flamed were… 5 con low players xD
Like I mentioned before: the only ppl that complained were 5 con no resist light setup that felt to entitled to sacrifice at least part of their dmg in order to have more durability.
Uuuh I disagree. While I do run 50 Con instead of 5 con I play arena with musket bow 70% of the time I’m on new world… I have confidence saying I’m the most experienced player on Valhalla after superpayagirl (who quit a while ago) in arena musket.
After the patch my overall damage was cut in about half just from missing shots due to musket being a “stationary” class now having a horrible hit chance when moving. Headshots just don’t happen anymore. As I showed in the original post the dodge roll shots is the least accurate of any of them, and it reduces dps even further than the original
The fact is due to spilt scaling muskets must run 450 points into DexInt in order to keep up with the bow, at which the bows are still able to run 200 con.
One of the reasons musket is trash even in arena still (although arenas is one of the best modes for it rn) is because there’s almost always a bow on the other team, with more health, same damage, closer quarters, better evasion, and animation cancels like no other.
The problem is yes I get 2 shot from a heavy into explosive arrow… however, I can’t 2 shot the bow users in the same armor cause he can run 200 con? Seriously? And he has more fire rate? It’s not that I get 2 shot by FS and Bows, (yes firestaffs double fireball me it happens actually almost every arena), it’s that I can’t 2 shot back, even with power show it takes 3 headshots (ya know the thing you don’t get anymore) right in a row with shooter stance empowered on to burst a bow or mage down. NO I do not 2 shot ANYONE at all in arena, but a fireball into a flare 2 shots me in 1.5 seconds, and a heavy into an explosive 2 shots me in .2 seconds. So yea…. It’s an unequal proportion of damage drastically in favor of the bows and FS due to the over compensation receive from the forums that hitscan is op… all the while Flare is a hitscan aoe that doesn’t even need to hit your target

STRONGLY disagree. You think 1 musket player can ruin the game for 10 people on cooldown…. Really…. I can’t take that seriously for my life
I can see 1 musket running 5 con with range and aimbot hacks perhaps ruining 5 players life’s in 1 opr… however, that still doesn’t compare to 100 people ruining 10,000 peoples equal value in time… stop it who hurt you (a musket obviously)
You take random clip which is clearly a montage where dude wants to flex so he clearly skips “worst” fights. And you still see that he misses shots on <10m range while aimed correctly. Issue here it is RNG now. That’s whole point. Right after nerfs I played few musket setups to test what can and what cannot be done in real environment. Result? You might have situations that you miss 10 shots in a row that was good aimed. You might also hit 10 in row. It just probability calculus at this point.
Just go and play 5 OPR with this musket which is so much OP for you and let me know what is your opinion about this weapon.
Tell me how good balance for this weapon is when you have perks on musket now like “Critical reload” - hit 3 headshot in a row in order to get instant reload with RNG. Go play in such close range and tell me how balanced it is in terms of escapes, surability aoe, cc etc. And how much it is OP that you would chose it over any other weapon in game.
EDIT: + like I mention before trapper tree which is supposed to be close range is soooooo buged and not working. Like I mentioned in other of my post. I lost it all when dude was teabaging my trap.
You real? With old empower muskets were 3 shoting 200con light bis players… With 2-3 premade muskets light where insta dying no matter of hp. Pot animation was longer than time you had before you die.
Dude at that time a was running 5 con musket build with resist and I was 4 shoted at best (with potions even more) xD BIS eq with 2x HP could stand much more.
But if any melee would close gap with me I was insta dead because I focused only on ranged bonuses.
So you’re comparing a firing squad to a 1v1. Huh, interesting and you think musket is in a good spot? You realize that can happen at a more effective rate now because of shirking fort nerfs, and all I have to do is call my friend up and tell him to wait 2 seconds and hit guy number 3 when I say so right?

And no, its not in good spot. But it can’t be in good s pot with out being cancer as before. So i preffer this one that previous one.
Making 100 players unhappy is way better option than making 10k unhappy.
What was your build? I was running just resil with shirking energy empowering shooters, and 3 ele aversions, no gems

Just finished OPR with non BIS BOW - this was and always will be much stronger and easier than musket.
It required a lot of focus on musket in order to get such score. Rarely got such score with much higher kill count due to lower dmg output in general.
Guess who is top 1? Definitely not OP FS that for sure is much much weaker than OP musket and with which you are not capable of 2tap ppl xD (nahh joking top 1 guy was FS xD )
literally from 1st clip the only thing that musket contributed was a trap, rest of kill was rapier

I’m not sure what I’m overlooking on your 50%< accuracy. I was just goofing off (and admittedly I know nothing about muskets) to see how fast I could shoot and how many targets I could hit at various ranges. My numbers were much higher than 50%.
It’s cause was aiming at the head, body shots are much more reliable than the video I posted. I just tested body shots but i’m going to count them tomorrow after work. Also different mobs have different hitboxs so that’s also partly it
The real test I wanna do is a moving and aiming test to see how accurate it is in an actual fight where you’re moving and shooting moving targets because realistically that’s what 99% of the weapon will be used for… unless you’re hunting rabbits ya know?
