Musket bans are being taken too far

Why do people keep using streaming as proof of not aimbotting?

If reporting actually works like AGS said it did, then all it does is trigger an investigation. Why blame anyone for that? If it does trigger some auto ban, thats on AGS and anyone who knowingly is trying to exploit that is an asshole, but also a lot of the more successful part of the new world gaming community are of or benefit from the exploit early and often crowd, so there’s a bit of irony here.

why do people keep using the fact that they get shot at as proof

Because they’re salty and that’s not proof.

Wanna answer my question now?

sure, its pretty clear if someone is cheating or not based on their gameplay even if they hide some aimbot ui

How so? I mean I literally just watched a video about how some streamers stream while aimbotting. I’ve never actually seen the software before so I was surprised at all of the settings that such software has.

I mean I watched gameplay where they had some of the settings so low that it was not obvious at all that they were actually aimbotting. Especially if they “flick” because a slight or large flick could be seen as proof, but you can hide that as well.

Occam's razor - Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Referring to the Occam’s razor fallacy is not an actual answer :joy::sob:

you are saying a large amount of people are using minor aim tweaks and hiding it on stream instead of concluding that people are just mass reporting good players
youre a lunatic

I didn’t say that at all. Reading is essential

It is, unless you’re terrible at articulating yourself. Streaming is proof unless you wanna make insane assumptions. At that point the burden of proof is on the reporter

I questioned why people think that a person streaming is proof of not using aimbot when one can hide the UI, and lower the settings/play “with” the aimbot to better hide the use of it in their gameplay.

Where in there do see an accusation?

It doesn’t even matter if they’re actually cheating or not then, if their cheats or so minor that you can’t even see them cheat why would you even accuse them?
You are accusing someone if you keep them under suspicion even after they show their gameplay. Please explain to me on what basis people should report someone on if they can’t even see their cheats on their stream.

You serious? :joy:

answer my question on what basis people should report someone on if they can’t even see their cheats on their stream.

People should report based on suspicion, but that is assuming that we live in a (new)world where reporting triggers an investigation and not an auto ban.

yes, but thats not the world we live in so people should stop reporting that easily, so what are you trying to achieve

Good question! I’ll have to get back to you on that one. Certainly not a world where this thought process is accepted lol.

if i send the police to your house for no reason right now and it randomly turns out you have a dead body hidden in your basement does it make it right for me to swat you?

Did you somehow suspect me of being a murderer? If so, yeah

You said no reason so no

I totally agree with you that people who are just salty and reporting because -reasons- and not even actually suspecting that the person is aimbotting is wrong.

in that reality countless people would have a police team search their house for no reason, theres a reason the law doesn’t run that way. It seems we agree that AGS is once again retarded with their system though so whatever
