Musket bugs (trap, reloading)

    I have here 3 of existing bugs with ‘Musket’ gun in NW at this moment.

After some Musket shots it just dont want to ‘reload’ (not a skill, but just reload for next shot) and it takes few seconds for game to understand that and force reload again. In PvP this few seconds is really important, so I think its need to be fixed. Video added below.

Enemy person is trapped with ‘Trap’ musket skill, but person still can move and deal damage. Video added below.

‘Trap’ musket skill just disappear right after you use it, so person is not stunning, trap is in nowhere and skill in cd.

  • (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: Yes, this bug happens randomly and other time it can not happen, pretty random.

Time codes:
0:12 - success musket shot.
0:13 - trying to reload, but we need to ‘dodge’ with shift, so reload is interrupted and cuz of that it will not ‘reload’ right after dodge, it need to wait 1-2 seconds after that to force reload again, this second is very important in pvp, so reload function should be forced right after dodge animation end if that happens.

Time codes:
0:04 - landed trap skill.
0:10 - enemy champion step into trap and still deals damage to me, and moves right after.

Time codes:
0:03 - using trap skill and it just disappear, aswell as skill in cd and enemy person not in stun or something.

  • What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: All shown in the video and said in words above with time codes. Some things happens randomly, some time it just can happen 10 times in minute, another day will never happen, but still all of those bugs really affects on gameplay with this gun.

Some more musket bugs:

  • Light equip dodge rolls move a shorter distance when the musket is equipped.

  • Stopping Power (ability) debuffs only last 5 seconds instead of the tooltip’s 8 second quote. Personally, I think the skill should be fixed to actually have 8 second debuffs since their magnitudes are very small (10%).

  • Ballistic Advantage (passive perk) doesn’t seem to be working properly, or is different from its tooltip. You still get damage dropoff on your shots.

I see you mentioned reload. I have found that the auto reload function doesn’t work after dodge.

Example:

You shoot, dodge, and continue walking. Even while walking the reload function doesn’t trigger. You have to stop. I don’t know if this is intended. I understand that dodge would prevent reload from happening, but I thought it would start reload once the “dodge” maneuver has finished.

To reiterate, shoot, dodge and continue walking - the reload function doesn’t trigger until you stop moving. If you don’t do a dodge you can strafe and reload without a problem.

Stopping power is also supposed to knock them back 3 meters which it does not seem to do.

The last paragraph has another bug I discover.
Apologies in advance for my english.

I’ve found that if you roll in the middle of a reload the musket faill to reload after the roll. This is more often in the fights (donno if there is some relation with the damage you take)
It’s really frustrating because the close musket fight is already dificult and very complex for add another complex mechanic.

ANOTHER BUG
The stiky bomb can be doge roll if is stick on you. Just know the exact time and you doge roll the most dificult hability in the game. Unfair. You manage to stick the friking bomb in a moving target, and the enemy has 3 seconds to know what comes and doge roll it properly

this can be a malfunction of the mecanic and is made on purpose. But it had to change to balance the weapon.

Also the stick bomb pasive “Sticky slow” don’t proc with the final pasive of the trapper tree (lethal combo), which seems absurd to me because This is what all the mechanics of the trapper is about.

Honestly, more I play with musket - more I want to quit this game. It just doesnt work at all. You cant PVP, because you need to dodge incoming attack and after that musket wont reload until u stop. You stop = you are dead. If you doesnt stop = you cant reload and switch = you are dead. You want to land trap and go away? Huh, not your day bro. Trap will dissapear and go in cd. And still no answer from devs, so nobody going to fix musket I guess. Im 35lvl musket+rapier build and I cant kill 29lvl in pvp, cuz my whole gun just not working. Seems like not playable at the moment.

Agreed, the musket is extremely buggy and clunky mess for all the reasons you outlined and more (bad crosshair).

I tried to point this out in Closed Beta after using it for 200Hrs and got shut down/ignored by the majority of the community that had never really used a musket longer than 5 minutes.

I really hope the devs see this as right not the musket is unusable and highly unenjoyable.

  • Describe the issue you are experiencing: I’ve been playing with the musket for about 23 hours, and noticed an issue with the Bear Trap skill. It doesn’t work on some larger enemies. Having a main skill for a tree do nothing to bigger enemies and bosses doesn’t seem right. At the very least having some parts of the skill like Trapped Damage or Scent of Blood still function would at least help.

If a reload animation is started, cannot swap weapons I’ve been experiencing quite a bit.

Musket is in a ridiculous stage,

  • most often does the server make it extra hard to hit headshots.

  • if enemies are to close your bullet will just fly through them.

  • reload bug

  • randomly shooting like a gattling because of server lag (mainly sound issue).

  • STICKY bomb being dodgeable, i’ve died many times in pvp just because my sticky bomb is litterally not doing what it’s supposed to do and stick that’s the whole point of it!

  • lastely nobody of the forum teams reply ever.

Yeah, would be nice to see more activity from the forum reps on topics like these. Right now they’ve been dealing with the exploit posts mostly rather than the bug/issues posts.

Just commenting to say that daily im suffering all that buggy mess in hopes of when they actually fix it, I will be a litteral GOD with the gun.

All these bugs I can relate and reproduce them.

AGS please fix our favourite weapon.
