Everyone’s had to deal with the cheating musket players abusing the (third? fourth?) new exploit in wars all week, and it’s still going strong.
Logged in today, joined an OPR, was a CoD lobby with 1-2 dex squads intentionally doing it. Immediately logged off.
AGS needs to fix this soon, AND start handing out permanent bans for cheating, not those 3 day slap on the wrist bans that aimbotters got over the summer.
People abuse early and often in wars because there is an absolute laundry list of exploits that people abused and faced no penalties for:
Lagging point with ice storm to cap.
Hatchet bug.
Healbagging.
Hatchet bug v2
Placing siege to glitch respawns
Glitching inside defender fort to cap without taking exterior points
Glitching outside the fort early to wipe attackers as they run out
Glitching into war camp
Ice storm stacking
Musket infinite powderburn
Musket rapid fire
Musket double shot
Musket + pow passives
And I’m sure many more. It’s a joke that you can cheat in the “competitive” PvP mode without any repercussions.
Minor crafting bug or potion dupe and AGS goes full DEFCON 1 locking the TP for weeks and handing out permabans like candy, but the same few people can cheat over and over and over for months in wars and never receive a penalty?
Also funny that every musket main who have previous ban appeal posts on the forums claiming they got mass reported for being “too good” has been recorded doing this most recent exploit among others. Food for thought.
I mean this is New World. If you are not cheating then you are not trying trying. If you want to win, your only recourse is to fight fire with fire. And be the better cheater.
Can’t believe you missed off the foodstack bug. That was around for a bit.
But some muskets on my server get called out for aimbotting in army chat quite frequently. And from my vantage point they aren’t at all.
With hitscan, nvidea profiler and mouse aim, anyone with decent hand-eye coordination can do well with musket. You don’t need aimbots at all.
We have a guy called yyyvaross on dry tree who has played musket for over a year and gets called out for hacks and I don’t understand it at all. Because he still misses a lot of shots on me.
I’m talking about the exploit being used to get crazy damage buffs right now, but aimbotting is def an issue.
Because it’s concerning that the only people who get 100% caught for aimbotting like the guy on ygg the other week, only get caught because they’re dumb enough to stream it or something, not because they got banned. And those people were warring as muskets for months, & always stacked in opr & war with other, seemingly even “better” players.
I just find it funny how every exploit is being done by exclusively the PvP crowd. Yet they want AGS to cater to them when they’re all just a bunch of cheaters. Smh.
Its not even that. Cheating/exploting is violation of ToS.
So if you call other player on chat its violetion of ToS - and 100% you will get temp ban.
But if you exploit - noone does are about ToS.
So only logical option here is - devs do play game and they add exploit so t hey can use them. Thats why they are so slow with reaction and no bans. Devs dont want to be banned
Which is absolutely a horrible way to be forced to play New World. If you take the Code of Conduct conforming route, you get demolished by those who are cheating. If you take the Code of Conduct non-conforming route, you become the very thing you despise, a cheater. It is a lose/lose situation for everyone involved.
Used to be an exploit that healers abused where if they crouched in a sacred ground, it would tick. So by tbagging in a sacred they would heal for 2k per crouch.
