There is a reason why warfare for hundreds of years consisted of 200 men lining up 50 yards apart and blasting at each other…

That said… it’s a game and I don’t expect reality… where can I throw a great axe and create a singularity? But the Hitscan is rediculous in this game. It would be rediculous even in any modern FPS… so why is it here?
everybody knows it. everyone can see it doesnt belong in the game except for these clueless devs. so many people stopped playing because of it and they just dont move. name any other game being ruined by one weapon without any action being taken EXCEPT for buffs.
Muskets were 50 cal balls. Medical abilities during those 200 years meant no matter where that hit, if you were hit, you’d likely die from the damage, or infection.
that isnt exactly right… remember we all came as sailors to aethernum, so muskets and blunderbusses make a lot of sense. the time and space splitting axe makes less sense in that regard
Technically it count as a “compensation” because a post above me want to cut range of a weapon with the slowest fire rate by half. So a faster fire rate would count as a win-win solution am i right
Yes and miskets we’re not rifled… and the balls were spheres so they meanderered thru the air with very little accuracy… and they took 20-30 seconds to reload… what’s your point… the weapon in the game bears no resemblance to a real musket.
