Instead of a bunch of damage nerfs or any other solution they should deal with the core issue and make the musket NOT hitscan as well as remove the 3x modern sniper rifle zoom.
Is OPR annoying when its all bows and muskets? Yes absolutely…but the bow at least has to do some serious aiming skill to hit you long range. Both leading the target as well as aiming high enough to account for the arrow drop. When I get bow sniped so far I can’t fight back I think it’s an impressive shot. When I get musket sniped I just curse at the game and the devs for adding hitscan into a dodge based game.
That is the problem, that they are doing two skills at a distance, while a mele has to be in the middle of the fight, risking the musketeer NO, the same as the bow, its damage, its 7k xD crits. Musket needs to be nerfed as it kills player experience
You have said it clearly, “the fun of others” while musketeers and archers have fun killing with two skills at long distances, the fun should be fair for everyone, not for those who play musket and bow.
Sorry but pve is dogwater ez, I have videos of soloing m9 tempest isabella and m9 dynasty empress, You balance a game for the hardest content. Killing another skilled player is much harder than an AI mob with a readable attack pattern.
This is true but when there is an imbalance of 1 weapon far out preforming the rest that is a problem. If the winners were a diverse group of weapons that would be fine. But when 8/20 players in opr have 20+ kills and every one of them is using 1 particular weapon thats skewed balancing
I disagree, just limit the amount of these weapons in the matches, zoom removal even if you are asking for a nerf, and that would disturb and harm a lot in the invasions of corrupted for the musketeers who support
so the problem once again is not the weapon but its quantity, just limit the quantity of this weapon in the matches
because if it’s up to me how much I don’t completely separate PvP from PvE, I won’t accept any weapon nerf because I know it ruins the experience of many PvE players.

and another if it’s that easy, why don’t others do the same?! because the player is so discriminated against in dungeons and other places in PvE, I asked this question on the server I play and the answer was:
“because no damage” “because it’s bad” “because if it was good, no one would hate it” “the time it takes a musket to deal 10k damage, any meele weapon hits almost twice as much”
so once again, the only argument they see for further nerfing the musket is solely and exclusively “PvP”, since the penultimate beta, and after so many nerfs they continue with the same fallacy, this is already tiring.
I mean you already know the problem yet still trying so hard to drag the whole weapon…man do you have grudge the guy who made musket or what? When musket got nerfed really hard (which already bad without stack btw) and those MLG player switch to bow (which hit even harder with stack btw), do you will create similar topic to nerf bow as well?
Its not whole problem. Mortal emp made problem visible to every single player. But issue was there before just not as visible as its now. Im posting about musket being broken by design for months now.
I mean it is problem for light armor user since musket were suppose to be a natural counter for those squishies. Meanwhile the bullet will bounce on heavy armor/do little to medium 150 CON, or does nothing to healer with any armor type they use.
Mortal empowerment increase your base damage which further buffed by a lot when you hit the same target. TLDR; instead of hit->ouch->ouch with 10++ stack turned into ouch->ouch->ouch
Future patch will make musket even more worse on PvE (while they said they want to improve musket on PvE…strange) due to nerfed damage bonus on sharpshooter stance. I already got lots of hate mail for using musket on dungeon, most likely i will get way more when the patch goes live.
Its definitely the weapon weapon. No other weapon benefits from mortal empowermentas much, and no other weapon has as much killing potential, a low hp target can dodge an arrow shot. You cannot dodge hitscan.
once again using only and exclusively PvP as a basis to measure the rule of an entire game that is NOT just PvP…
and based on the video that I recorded myself, you can see that the pre-programmed Mobs can do this, so a player to not be able to do this must be inferior to a mob.
