as a main musket i can safely say its damage is fine as for rn. I consistantly get into top 5 overall in an average lobby, in a good lobby top5 on my team at least xD…
but lets talk about how fucking tanky u can get in this game and what it means for muskets:
as a musket rn, you should be only bottom line shooting at light armor targets and low health medium targets, one bullet u shoot at someone in medium/heavy with 200health is another 2s waste of time (reload=2s).
The damage different between hitting a light armor target and hitting someone with heavy/medium with 200con is craaaazy. 1 musket shot takes away 20-50% of the light armors health while for the 200con heavy guy the health bar barely even goes down.
And if the 200con guy hold a great axe lmao he just need to left click at someone or press any ability and he’ll be back to full health again (yes they can heal off of crit damage and ability damage), not to mention greataxe players ALWAYS hug their healers, so basically they’re unkillable unless they’re by themself, but a musket will NEVER be able to kill him from full health lmao.
longstory short, 200con perk should only count for light armor, medium guys should only able to get that 20% armor on 250con, and heavy guys on 300con, boom game fixed
also the fact that musket is useless in pve proves that it deserve a buff not nerf.
Ppl let themself get shot at by 5 muskets in opr and wondering why they’re dying shit is hilarious.
U can already stay 200 meters in back and shoot to other players so dont cry u cant hit for 5k, hiting for 1,4 from distance where u are 100% safe is good balance.
Idk I don’t understand people. I just picked up GA hatchet have trash low gear with light armor and I’m not cashing in so much damage as trolls describe here. I wonder just what are people running to get one tapped by musket. Just avoid powderburn and that’s all
no, musket trapper tree is cool, but 100% unusable. Its not that they need to buff musket, but tune the trapper tree to be more viable in pve. All in all, almost every single other weapon outperforms musket for cleave/AOE/Single target damage.
its almost like devs sat down and had a meeting, bow is pve and musket is pvp.

the only arguments I’ve seen so far are always the same “PvP, it’s easy to hit”
but I don’t see anyone hitting 100% of the shots with targets running, jumping, teleporting, rolling, improve arguments
and no one should hit 100% of shots, but it’s crazy easy to hit with musket compared to every other ranged weapon. No drop (which is ridiculous) and every other weapon has to lead their targets.
If you can’t kill a greataxe player you don’t deserve to be top 5 anything. All you have to do is press shift everytime they swing at you or use an ability and you will take even less damage than they do. Not to mention if you are in light armor and they are medium or heavy you can kite them literally forever untouched. Source: Main GA/WH for a long time, now trying musket because it’s a joke

musket is not trash, and infact needs a heavy PVP nerf with damage dropoff and bullet drop. It is not balanced and has no counter when the opponent knows how to aim and focus targets
