The difference is it takes zero effort for musket player to keep range pressure. It takes much more effort for melees to get into melee range if they need to travel 100yards towards musket player shooting at them.
I think its the biggest thing people complain about. Being killed by musket without any counterplay. If the musket players is good and has a good aim you will be dead before you can even reach him.
Should i care about it ? You picked meele in open field battle range should always win those encounters. Make some dungeon arena melle will dominate. Withc wepon will be next ?
And/ or even see the muskets before the sudden death, most of the times you just get shot twice and before you can backtrack where the shots are coming from you are already dead because you tried to play the game.
Last time I checked on Steam there is nothing about forced PvP
You can PvP however you want, you have wars, OPRs, arenas. You can even flag for PvP in open world …
But I know what you want. Play your musket and bully people from 100y range right? Ye im sure people would love that and it would totally skyrocket NW population.

Sadly, stopping power just isn’t worth it(perhaps if you could fire it in Shooters Stance…). Traps are too big and are destroyed too easily. Powershot is a a nice bit of damage and I’ll probably just use it instead of a mindless AoE spam ability.
So, looks like they weren’t happy with one ability in the trapper tree not being shit.
