  • What is your character name in New World: Bodi Jake
  • What server/world did you experience your issue on: Frislandia
  • Describe the issue you are experiencing: When using musket, activate Powder Burn but do not fire weapon. Wait until cooldown finishes. Previously, any attempt to reapply Powder Burn would ignore the application, because it was still on the musket. Now it will reapply Powder Burn over top of itself and start another cooldown. I am not sure when this started, but I believe it was after the Feb patch.
  • Is this a bug or an exploit: Bug.
  • (if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay: There is no indicator to tell if Powder Burn is applied, so previously I would ‘test’ if it was applied by trying to apply it a second time; if the keypress was ignored, I would know it was already applied. Because of this new bug, this no longer works, and my cooldown is reactivated unneccesarily.
  • (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: n/a
  • (if a bug) Please include a screenshot or video of the issue that you have experienced: No need, easy to repro.
  • What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: Arm musket. Activate Powder Burn. Do not fire weapon. Wait until cooldown completes. Activate Power Burn again. It should detect that weapon was not fired and that PB was still active and ignore the second application request, keeping the perk off cooldown.

I think this is intended since you can overwrite loaded shots now. Might be wrong but would make sense.

If that is the case, then we need some way to know what is already applied or not. I would be fine with that as a solution, tbh.

Hey there, I’ll try getting a clarification on this for you
