Musket Reloading Bug

  • Describe the issue you are experiencing:
    After my character dodges, rolls, gets attacked, uses an ability, switches weapons, or sheathes the musket during a reload- the animation to reload is cancelled but when the musket is brought back out again- the animation for the next reload does not automatically occur. Instead, the reload does not initiate UNTIL the player manually starts it by aiming/pressing R/trying to shoot.

    This bug is negatively affecting my combat experience with a musket as I am experiencing unexpected delays during reloading because the musket will not automatically initiate the reload after the aforementioned actions.

    I am able to work around this issue with manual reloading but it is not ideal.

    Dodging, rolling, getting attacked, using an ability, switching weapons, or sheathing the musket during a reload will cancel the automatic reload animation for the next musket shot.

This is a legit bug that has been going around. Some have experienced this during the Beta as well as the current release of the game.

This is the cause of needless deaths and panic, and whether it’s a bug or an intended feature, is abhorrent in the gameplay and reason enough to not use the musket.

Please fix. Reloading should be cancelable at any point int he animation, with the drawback of course being a still unloaded gun. The balance is already there, don’t root the player because there’s a functionally homicidal speedbump in the core gameplay of the weapon.

Thank you for posting this! Adding to the musket thread so it can hopefully be prioritized or responded to as expected behavior (albeit not a common sense one).

when are you going to fix this OMG?! A Musket is literally an unwise option for PVP because of this bug!!! and it has been around since beta! couldn’t you just cover it in 1 of these massive updates FFS?!

I’ve stopped using musket for this and server lag misses. Eventually it’ll get corrected but I understand they have bigger fish to fry.

Would be nice to see a community rep to respond that it has been recognized at least.

This is still a thing.
Playing PvP and the reload dont go of by auto, you are standing there just looking dumb.
