Makes the sticky bomb useless in PvP. It is difficult to stick them and makes no sense that dodging protects them from the explosion.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced:
Wield a musket and take the sticky bomb perk.
Stick a sticky bomb to an enemy player.
Have the other player spam roll after they are stuck.
It’s an explosion on your body, dodging it makes no sense. The sticky bomb is difficult enough to land in PvP, being able to negate it’s damage makes the skill useless in PvP. It’s either a bug or terrible game design.
Yeah… im kinda with OP on this as it like you dodging bleed ticks it like i get if it lands on the ground and you dodge away or into it to dodge the explosive effects however if it stuck on you it should be considered well a debuff so it deals damage and staggers but instead using a dodge roll while it stuck on you is well bit of a bug.
Sticky bomb is one of the worst skills ingame, part of it is that you can dodgeroll it on top of its limited use cases.
Looks cool, that’s about it. Musket has lackluster skills. I wish it was more interesting, but we gotta deal with what we have and be happy that at least its hits register ^^
I don’t play the musket but that just seems like bad design. Frankly a lot of the abilities in this game are useless because people can just iframe dodge through them. For ice gauntlet people just dodge through my ice shower making it useless and doesn’t make sense. Same with ice storm, people take no damage because they can dodge all the way through my ice storm while they’re in the ice storm…
Can you tell whoever you are reaching out to about these ability issues they lack the common sense to make abilities and should in fact let someone else do it?
Reach out to them again and let them know it’s moronic. IT’S A STICKY BOMB. YOU SHOULDN’T BE ABLE TO DODGE AWAY FROM IT BECAUSE, WAIT FOR IT, IT STICKS TO YOU.
This guy jsut mentions sticky bomb, but your response worries me, cause the entire musket weapon is under performing and part of it is due to sticky bomb suppoused to be a big part of itts arsenal. The aimer on the sticky bomb is quite shit, it takes way to logn to throw it when ur getting chased by melee, u hav to bring it out, then aim with that shitty aimer, just make it throw from pressing the button once, players can test on mobs and stuff to get the distance down on it, also the arc needs to be alot better and not be aimed at he ground when u bring it out lol. secondly, why is half the skills additonal effects to bullets, there should be more actual skills, not jsut oh apply a burn to my bullet, o apply 20% more damage. why would anyone take musket with tis current state, also u down someoen witha musket, ur kill gets stolen before u reload, unless ur using the crouch shot skill, but lets be hoenst it sucks in msot situations. Dmg seems fine on the skills and musket, jsut the way it works is very bad comapred to the easyness of frost glove, or spamming left click with ur axe. Although i do think musket should require mroe skill then those weapons, u dont provide the right choice of skills, and the skilsl udo provide, rarely work. Musket needs looked at before any otehr weapon IMO, besides the ones 1 shotting people, fix that first, then after musket is in need o the biggest buff or change out of all weapons. Anyone who says diferently jsut doesnt want to admit there weapon is way more effective thn musket or they were sniped in open world and have a biased view towards musket.
@Luxendra That’s a large unbalanced issue. the bomb takes a good second or two to throw aim it. and is still quite easy to miss. it also delays your movement during trying to throw it. making it quite easy to be damaged in the process by ranged. The bombs meant to latch onto a target and deal debuffs. I think you should reach out to the balance team deeply about it on improving this. it just doesn’t make sense to be able to dodge a ability dependence on you sticking it onto your opponent. more important this bomb isn’t a instant blow up, people will time this when finding out they can.
I don’t use the Musket and can tell you this is a weird design. In no way should someone be able to dodge out of an explosion or something that got “stickied” to them.
I am a Musket user and so far haven’t done any PVP in game and now reading this makes me NOT want to do any PVP at all…this makes NO sense…please fix this @Luxendra
