only cs go fans players like you, gonna keep coming to the forum and complaning about how musket is bad now… oh no, i can;t do mine pew pew frrom 200 meters, and kill throw the bushes where i shouldnt see someone… oh no … i can’t sit on rocks 200 meters above everyone else and just shoot, shoot and run when needed with my rapier and traps and speed buff from musket…

Not really bro. CS takes WAY more skill than playing a musket for alot of reasons. To name a few:
In CSGO you actually need to be good at positioning yourself due to the fact that your enemy also has a weapon that will potentially hitkill you if you’re in the wrong pixel.
In CSGO you actually can’t move and shoot at the same time because you’ll miss your shot
People just don’t accept that they did what they did while playing a musket because the weapon was insanely overpowered. I mean i saw a video posted here from a guy that was just point and clicking with his hitscam weapon shooting at somebody that couldn’t even fight back and called that “skill” or his “gameplay style”.
My man if you call skill shooting at somebody that has literally no way of teleporting 100m to your face, then you must be crazy.
Yet they talk about “RNG”, well what would you expect from a weapon that only relies on yourself to land shots? from DAY 1 musket was the only ranged weapon in the game that wasn’t shooting a projectile.
I say with confidence that most if not all musket players would get wrecked in any fps game out there, and well the good musket players can still play the game just fine, there’s alot of videos out there to prove it.
Now if you can’t do the same as them, it’s just a skill gap.
Exactly, right ? So this is why cs go players fans like muskets, cause when they are bad in real fps/shooting game, they are coming to new world and showing off, becuase they are like the only one players with guns in the fields full of guys with knives…
if long range sniping was an issue they should simply just cut the range, instead we have now unreliable weapon that can’t find it’s place in any given range if you play solo
That is why they whine so much. They played unfair weapon, had fun with it couse it was broken and now can’t play anything else, change muskets included. They have no idea how to play if other player can shot you back lol. And when they other player does presure them 9/10 muskets sucks with rapier or other off-hand they used to play and they die. After they get destroyed they come forum and cry. And in same time players that played musket in closer range have no issue adjusting and are still doing 20-30 kills per opr. Couse they know how to use musket on 30-40m range and are very very good with rapier in close combat.
This is the way now, you can’t move and shoot anymore.
And some guys over here say they cannot play anymore because they can’t stand still for a fraction of a second to shoot. Lmao
From what I see no-one in this topic says that musket was in right place - every musket user agrees that something should have been done.
All that everyone is stating is that RNG is not good solution. Like imagine that out of sudden any other weapon receives random 50% miss chance.
I see low arguments saying “they don’t know how to learn new weapon” to feel better. Here I am crying that they added only 9 gearsets and I still have to dig through my depo and EQ to find something that I want to play just today.
I understand you did not liked weapon. But at this point it is turning to blind hate to agree that RNG is right solution. Does musket belong to this game - maybe not, maybe yes - it does not matter at this point as it is already here. You will not change that.
Balance by RNG is simply bad - and RNG is there. I tested many things since this patch just to give up. I even crafted myself muskets like ench, att, TRAPS to see if that helps in short distance.
This weapon does not give you a feeling that you can control something. You miss when you should hit, you hit when you should miss.
This RNG does not suite anything in musket skill tree now. Trapper tree is disgusting. Spells are bugged, not working. Half of the time traps are not triggered. What’s the point of having 200% dmg on bomb when it often deals no dmg at all. Or codes is so bugged that person that has it attached rolls and all of the clump does not receive dmg then. In the same time I can use instant fireball, rain of arrows or whatever rly. Lot of perks referencing to headshots (again no skill if you land any today as it is RNG).
In the meantime you have to squize 500 into offensive in order to have same bas dmg like other DMG weapons on 300.
In conclusion you cannot say that this is objectively good change.
If AGS decided to not nerf long range shots (and you could do it easily that on this 100m range it just deals 500 dmg to light or sth like that) then in my opinion whole thing needs rework from scratch.
Solution that was applied was very lazy just to satysfiy part of community that was hating it them most and shouting loudest.
We had a lot of cry about bow and FS recently and what they did this time was actually great thing to do - small changes (no nukes). Now they can monitor and adjust further. Hopefully soon - not in a year like they used to do in past.
Yea was nice to kill ppl 100m range while they could not nothing to you. And shot them in close range like with pistols right? Now learn to play new musket and stop whining or stay with fs.
I keep seeing the same comment in this post “Learn to play the new musket “, which is like saying to a dancer with a broken leg to learn to dance!!! Can you still use the musket at close range?? Yes!!! Can you drive a car with your Legs?? Yes!! Musket is currently frustrating to use at the range of 0-15 meters and this was not something that existed before the accuracy change, and Yes I agree that it needed to change at a long range and it’s ok to Root yourself for 2+ seconds to get the accuracy bonus at long range but to need to Root myself for 2 second to fight a melee player that is at 0-15 meters to do less damage then him is just bad. With the accuracy changes they accidentally nerfed the close-range combat of the weapon that was already underperforming!!! Like @cattboy said, “Playing musket right now you fight the game more than the enemies”.
And no, I am not a CSGO player, I have never played it and don’t care much about shooter games!! This game decided to go in this direction and its implementation is unique compared to other shooter classes in MMOs and felt good to play I normally go melee in MMOs. In this game when it comes to PVP I only play Greatsword/Rapier or Musket/Blunderbuss
The Comment “learn to play the new musket” is also irrelevant!!! Do you know why?? Because the Creative Director of the game already said that “its performance is not good” and that on top of these changes now they will be more small changes in the future, the reason why they don’t fully address its problems now and they do small changes is because they have a Major Rework/Overhaul of the weapon in the next Seasons.
This is a band-aid solution, like turning off a perk that is broken until is fixed!!! We didn’t know that when this post was made and that’s why We “Cried” in the forums pointing out a problem and giving a viable solution!!
You just contradicted yourself. Why should i buy an expensive weapon (rifle) where i miss my shots while walking/strafing if i can buy a SMG a weapon that is cheaper and can land most shots?
Reason is, rifles are just BETTER even if they are harder to play. SMG has low damage and they have their niche in the game. But rifles are almost always better weapons.
So what musket players want is a SMG that has the same damage as a RIFLE Just learn not to shoot while walking and you’ll be fine.
You can’t have it all, either your weapon is easy to play (medium strenght) or you weapon will be harder to play and will be stronger due to that reason.
Musket is by far the easiest weapon to play in the entire game or at least it was.
Uh… disagree but I don’t see us finding a middle ground on this. Just with the easiest to use portion of the post. We talking strictly pvp too right? Or like in general?
I don’t care about PVE, all weapons should be good at PVE they could make a system such as BDO that the same skill has a PVP value and a PVE value in order to balance this.
