Mutated Dungeon - Lazarus Feedback

So had a group and tried mutated Laz last night. We were undergeared for it, so I’m not going to complain about not being able to finish it. My feedback is more general.

First, that void explosion on the ground from the Elite named enemies. Man. This needs to be changed to have a longer period of time before it explodes. If you aren’t dodging the instant after it appears, you’re getting hit. That’s too fast. I raided hardcore in WoW for a decade, and the thing about mechanics like that is you have to give players a chance to react. I was quick enough to get out of most of these explosions, but if one coincided with me using an ability or an attack, I got hit. That’s too punishing. I would say another half second or second needs to be added before the explosion goes off - enough time to complete your current action and react to it.

Second - Cilla feedback. Holy crap. Her usage of abilities is a total mess. We’ve got her using the AOE bombs and then spear throwing and using her void wave while the bombs are going off. Half the time I couldn’t even tell what was hitting me. The void arrows and spear throw are telegraphed adequately, but sometimes she wasn’t even facing me and I’d get absolutely wrecked by something at range (mage player). We really need a combat log or an in-game dungeon journal that explains boss attacks. I even recorded video - and will again tonight - and I can’t tell for the life of me what was killing me sometimes. Or others in the group, for that matter.

Third - Gearscore feedback. How high you can be in terms of gearscore seems to be more important than anything else. Our tank swapped from “tank” gear and simply equipped the highest gearscore items he had and with garbage perks and he took much less damage. The scaling might need to be looked at here.

Overall I liked the drop rate and I liked the challenge. There’s just a couple things that may need changing to make it so that when you’re dying you’re dying to messing up rather than dying because random nonsense.

yep. this and those void mines are wrecking me.

cilla also has a bad habit of back handing anyone attacking her from behind even with no aggro, the blurple wave also can smack backwards without warning. iv gotten used to the explosion combo attacks though its hard to pay attention while running for your life so you have to guess. but that last part isnt a big deal.

also iv been noticing at T2 her stacks go up to 11 before the orb even pops up. it took all our tanks by surprise. why wasnt we notified?

The backhand attack was wrecking our melee sometimes, but I was far enough away that it wasn’t hitting me.

What’s bonkers to me is her attacks being essentially random, so she can throw a spear at you, void arrow you and then void arrow you AGAIN. Your dodge is gone by that point. And the void wave during the bombs is nuts. There’s usually only 1 way to go to get out of the bombs, so that void wave at the same time can wipe you out.
