Mutated Dungeons Require DPS meters

The fact that people want to run the hardest content in the game with experienced players is not out of the ordinary. If you are a casual player and want to learn go in with your friends and company mates and burn your own orbs and time.

People should not be forced to play with you or anyone else. I don’t see whats wrong with bringing a way to track performance into true endgame content. I don’t play the game anymore but not being able to see which rotations do better damage or which weapons, specs stats deal the most damage is a bit cumbersome.

I think the biggest reason they don’t allow such addons on implement it themselves is that this will show the large discrepancy in weapon damage and builds which would lead them to actually try and balance these items.

There is currently no game that can balance PVP and PVE without having separate modifiers or cooldowns for each. They aren’t equipped to do so nor do they want to do so. Lets just say its in their best interest not to but not the players best interest.

Maybe they should give us access to in game applications so people can apply for expedition positions.

While I wholeheartedly would love metric trackers, even if it’s just at the end of the dungeon on a review screen, let’s be honest, it’s really easy to tell who is pulling their weight and who isn’t.

That DPS with a spear and bow in Genesis? Yeah no, they’re gone.

That healer that dies every pull? Yeah no, they’re gone.

That tank that constantly makes the boss face the party? Bye bye.

Not collapsing for Arcane Explosion? Not in my group!

The nice thing about small server populations is its easy to keep track of who is not performing well.

They are giving us the same content whilst taking away from the sets players worked so hard to craft. Ignoring the major bug desync and rubber banding we’re all experiencing. Ignoring bots. It’s hard enough to compete against other players for nodes. Expeditions having keys are not inclusive and meters will make them even less. The only players pushing max mutators will be Everfall and Windsward owners who can buy to perfect sets for each mutation.

which is why we need meters, so the peasants can’t ever get sneak in!

All for it as soon as they fix bugs.

The hell if I’ll be kicked from groups because Fireball was coded on someone’s night off and goes through enemies.

Make one yourself. They got bugs that need fixing.

And so it begins.

“LFG GS620 minimum over 9000 DPS or gtfo”

If most people would put that much effort in their daily jobs they put into games the world would be a better place…or at least we would get better burgers faster at the drive in.

If players have a problem to pay 500g (yes 500g because you get 1000g just for killing stuff there) for endgame PvE content with best in slot drops I don´t think there is something wrong with the game … Maybe those players shouldn´t participate in endgame content?

It already started with Wars. You think that companies aren’t looking at those healing and damage numbers and using that as a basis of who to invite or disinvite for the next war?

Bad idea as it does not show the whole picture like how would you measure buffing, debuffing and damage avoidance such as dodging/blocking? Healing also needs to be done at the right moment on the right target, that is not shown in a healing meter.

All that (with heavy attacks to chunk down stamina included) is stuff that helps the group and that is not something that the dps giga chads concern themselves with. Polish your rotation, ignore mechanics and push those 99% parses or no invite to my mutation 1 key!

Sarcasm aside yeah agreed alot of actions that benefits the group at the cost of your personal dps would make you look bad in the eyes of pugs with dps meters that only cares about numbers

Simple, by how often you die.

We don’t need mutated dungeons at all.

We just need MORE dungeons.

And make them FREE to enter. Having to make expensive orbs or pay 2500 gold to get into a dungeon is ridiculous.

Make up your mind my friend :rofl: surely a troll

Edit: A damn good one to be sure.

No. Dying could be from a number of things, ranging from sub-par equipment, to poor healing to just being unlucky to get hit randomly hit by that stupid elemental damage they introduced.

players have a problem with gambling 500g?

I’m not going to say there should be no gambling, but yeah some people don’t like gambling. its not shocking.

also many people don’t have tons of gold, even if they wanted to gamble.

right now on ptr, they gave out 10 orbs, they reccomended remaking characters. I don’t think anyone testing the content has complained even once about having too many orbs.

and the rewards they are getting don’t even exist when beta closes.

this implies that the normal usage of this content is to do it repeatedly, and often.

if they successfully created highly repeatable fun content, severely limiting player access to it is not a great idea

Agreed but I guess creating new Expedition requires more effort than AGS want to put into the game?

Also, we already have 6 dungeons but the problem is that 4 out of those are dead content, once you reach level 60. Mutated dungeons should have included all of them but for inexplicable reasons AGS decided to include only half. The rest will continue to be dead content.

I agree and it seems most of us agree but for some, again inexplicable reason, AGS is digging down and adding even more timegates and grind for these stupid orbs that almost all seem to hate. Perhaps pride? Who knows…

All it takes is at least 5 committed players in your company and you can run it 2-3 times every day, easily.
Just how lazy are your company members, really?

No they don’t. You know who’s good. And if you don’t, your taking a chance. Whats next, you want the game to tell you when to use a health pot? We don’t need UI telling us how to play the game.
