Mutation Cap and Umbral Shard

I wanted to share some suggestion I have came up with some guildmate and I.

First of all the Mutation rewards are kind of lacking in lower level which make lower gear score player or simply returning player not able to find group or run with guildmate. Therefore we need an incentive for people to help lower mutation runs.

Here come the second most important notion. Cap on mutation. 25 feel really little. So it take about 9.2k shard per piece to get to 625. A full set require 50k maybe more. That said, people are tend to do only m10 because they need those shard to get there set and upgrade pvp gear. Then, they cannot help lower gs people to run lower mutation since they are cap.

Concerning the umbral shard situation. AGS has agreed with people selling umbral shard. We should make those shard sellable on the market instead of doing the method that implented at the moment. This will permit people to get gearscore without having the find a seller in the game. It will also, and I believe, help decrease the inflation on the umbral shard price at the moment. (18k for 6k umbral shard on maramma).

So here a little recap of what could improve the expedition set up

  • Either Remove or augment the mutation cap (like make it daily 25 instead of weekly)
  • Make the Umbral shard sellable on the market.
  • Increase reward of shard in lower mutation level.
  • Create an incentive for higher gs to help lower gs players.

Making shards sellable would kill the game lol. The market would just be flooded by gold sellers.

Not totally true. They will have to farm the dungeon in order to sell it and as a community we can agree on a decent price (that is a dream). Right now gold seller and gold farmer are gathering all the ressource of the game and selling it. Bot are made for that. I do not see bots in dungeon xD. Or make the shard tradable. Not sellable but tradable in between player. Like that everyone can help everyone.

Selling shards on the market would further encourage RMT, which was partially why AGS implemented the expertise system in the first place. It would be counter productive.

And what about the other suggestion that I gave. Any interest? Selling umbral shard is a no go apparently. I prefer gold seller over bots to be honest at this point.

This!:+1: When I do m1-5 I get more shards from the gypsum than from the mutation itself. I think even m1 should give at least 200 shards.

Check the PTR patch notes they are going up…

you don’t pug much do you? Bots are running dungeons when not botting.

So the increase of shard is indeed upgraded in lower level. Let’s just hope this is enough to incentivise Higher GS to help Lower GS
