The number of pug M10s being ran since the changes went live are so low compared to before. M10s were fine the way they were.
I suspect this has to do with two fundamental issues with the game

lack of transparency of what builds/gear/weapons are best. AKA: you can’t inspect players, you can’t look at damage meters, there is no way to simulate damage/mitigation/healing in game, and finding good external…up to date sources on the matter is challenging

only a subset of weapons are really “viable” to run m10 gold due to melee weapons having an extraordinary kit that plays well with mutations, content favors clumping, etc.
Players can go their entire game life thinking their build is just fine, but then hit a wall in mutations - find out they have to completely rebuild, and get super frustrated.
Anyway - just my two cents of watching the major differences between those who struggle, and those that find the game easy. It is simply knowledge of builds. Pick the cookie cutter comp and mutations become about as hard as the normals in this game. It actually kinda sucks, tbh.
The hardest part about this game is not getting carpal tunnel from LMB spamming. It is worse than any hack and slash game ever in that regard.
Agreed it is harder cus muts are harder, so peeps will be less likely to run them with pugs. I personally don’t really get that worked up when things don’t go write, its annoying but hay far more important things to worry about.
But I understand peeps wanting to do things and get the rewards etc.
I hate PvP in this game - play other games for that fix (I love PvP and usually where I spend my time in any other game)
But as a PvE’r - I’ve been advocating for better rewards for those that PvP. There is a clear double standard where they don’t make PvE do PvP but they make PvP do PvE OR make them wait and grind so much unrealistically.
I stated before, I completed 26 PvP tracks and have gotten 1 opportunity ever to buy umbral shards. It offered 1k shards, and I forget the salt cost…but I remember thinking the salt cost being high.
and the faction vendor? wtf…how hard would it be to update that stuff?!
and why the hell does the rusher crates ever give gear without resilient? drives me nuts that resilient exists at all vs something that is passively applied to all when in PvP mode but whatever
never mind that OPR hasn’t been changed since when? the map mechanics are not even used because its so trashy. So much can be done to make that space better, but nope. PvP needs a new map, but at this point, I’d be happy if they made the OPR map work the way it was intended.

Lets be serious now, I have never seen that good group that can do this on first stage without chardis being able to trigger next phase. Send me some video if you can, I’d like to learn more about it. To be precise - a team that kills chardis before he is ABLE to trigger next phase, because you can easly skip 2nd phase if you keep attacking and that is not killing him in one stage in my eyes.
I want to like pvp in this game and I too want fun content for PvE mains. which is why I want pvp to be more rewarding and fun so they stop mucking up pve for PvE mains.
also want better PvE in general for PvE mains but as long as pve is required to pvp it will always be held back because it has to accommodate pvp players who need a quick easy grind to go and pvp.
like I said forced gear progression for pvp through pve hurts EVERYBODY.
They need to raise PvP rewards. I want to play the game, I enjoy that part of the content. But yea I’m at the same point. Idc if I get bronze or gold. But people do for whatever f reason.
And I’m tired to be forced to do m10’s just so I can actually enjoy pvp.
But wait. This week I got angry earth ward up. So now I should waste a full week to get ancient up at least. So next week I can run that hopefully whole week so best I get corruption or lost up aswell.
Just so THEN i can FINALLY start to work on my pvp gearsets which would take months.

My group definitely dropped him to 10% on first drop on our 22min run last week-end. Kinda close to one phase him. I can agree that calling it « one-phase » him isn’t the best term but usually we kill him before he finish second laser. You also gain alot of dps if you only kill « one ball » and others alrdy focus Chardis from the beginning. Edit : This is a MMO, you will ALWAYS have some sort of PVE to do to get involved in PVP afterwards

I say this to people who think mutation is “harder” now and they ask for being better and good
1: being force to collect some flowers and stones to get gold run is not “harder” it’s retarded move(tho it seems you don’t need them for genesis).
2: this game have aggro mechanic system so why would ags completely ignore their own system to make it “harder” when you can’t even use game mechanic itself to play its dungeon? I played both dynasty and genesis multiple times after brimstone patch ,when you taunt them (tank) cc or doing damage to them(dd) it seems fine for like 5-10 seconds then they easily ignore all agro u have on them and leave for hitting tree or barrel.its not harder they just don’t play by games mechanics and you don’t have any counterplay against it(for any one who wants to say : use more cc i tell you that cc doesn’t matter when 5 second after u cc them they go for barrel and you see ur cc on cooldown .
3.idk if any one noticed or not but those fire archers from new elite poi is doing so much damage to us (even with correct ward+fire gem) its like they also shadows nerfed wards some how i even noticed soldiers also hitting harder than before patch(they always hit hard but today i saw so many low cons dps with full ward getting 1 hit now, tho ofc they were using hatchet ) yet it seems having wards is now a must more than before and also it hurt those pvp enjoyers more than before now .
4. I personally don’t care about umbral shards i have 500k ish shards and before that i have 2 dps set 1 healer set for each dungeon (tho its not a good compare to pvp guys) yet i just want to enjoy the game even with randoms not only my premade group i ran 5dps with them on every damn dungeon to gold it (the only dungeon we couldn’t get gold was depths on fire week with that dodge penalty thing) and yeah im not casual im one of those try hard sweats out there . Yet I don’t see this changes make it harder for us but it makes it painful and undoable with randoms and also wasting time for every one…
