Mutation Rotation Order - needs to be changed

The rotation order is getting monotonous. I believe the current mutation order causes one dungeon predominately to be run over the other due to the difficulty of the dungeon and the mutation effect. For example, in the week ending Tuesday the 13th, it was much easier to find a dungeon for Lazarus over Barnacles and Black Powder for not just one reason but multiple reasons. First, Laz is the easier of the two dungeons, second Laz was Hellfire, and Barnacles was Icebound, with silence and mana drain. Therefore it was much easier to “farm” shards in Laz. I get it so many still need to farm shards.

The previous week, starstone and Ennead, starstone being the easier dungeon and void while Ennead, Icebound. It was difficult to find groups willing to run Ennead. Before that Dynasty and Genesis, here again, Genesis is the easier of the two and Dynasty. Genesis was overly farmed and difficult to find groups for Dynasty.

I get it, there is an equal number of dungeons to mutation and promotion effect, only the curse changes. See what history I have kept of the mutations below.

Is it possible to change up the rotation somewhat until we either get either a new dungeon or a new mutation and promotion that will cause more diversity within the weekly change of mutations?

yeah its become a static rotation ever since they thought keeping the one element and rotating it and its to the point we know its hellfire depths and overgrown tempest coming up

Exactly, thank you.

They should take out the rotation.

All mutated all the time.

So pretty much that means the only mutations getting run will be Genesis, Laz and Depths. Which probably says a lot about the state of the other Expeditions.

Technically not wrong. We had Laz and BB up last week and on Orofena I managed to get the goofy leaderboard cape just by running BB once. Practically a consolation prize/participation award for a lot of servers due to how few peeps are on em.

Nonetheless, having to wait an entire month at this point for a particular mutation to come back up is ridiculous. Was farming Hybris two weeks ago when Starstone and Ennead were up, but never had enough time to dig into Ennead to collect the Sun Lord set. Sucks that I and others who might not have that set will not be able to collect the pieces for another two weeks. Def need to just have them all running.

yes open all the muts at once when players can barely fill pug groups w 20 floors open at once already.

sure static groups will be fine but at the cost of pugs.

devs already realize they need to reduce the floor count by half at least.

even then opening all the dungeons at once wo cross server will just make the pug situation worse.

As to the monotonity of rotation itself it’s a forest through the trees problem.

could randomize the order and combo of modifiers but at the end of the day it’s still.the same boring snoozefest PvE content that no one wants to do but do cause nothing else to do and want to farm the shards/drops w max efficiency anyway.

Have all mutations available at any time, just have daily mutation’s which give extra rewards (mutations skins etc) . Perhaps tone down drops for mutations not on daily list. lets be honest most of the kit that drops is just repair part fodder anyway.

Can we get a dev in here to look at this? Seriously. The only dungeon changing is Starstone

@Luxendra

factoring today’s mutation type
Tempest Nature for 3 rotations in a row (12 weeks)
Lazarus Hellfire for 3 rotations in a row (12 weeks)
Depths Hellfire for 4 rotations in a row (16 weeks) probably more
Ennead Ice for 3 rotations in a row (12 weeks)
Barnacles Ice for 3 rotations in a row (12 weeks)
Dynasty Void for 2 rotations in a row (8 weeks) (according to this data, I believe the instance that is not specified was indeed a void mutation as well)
Genesis Nature for 3 rotations in a row (12 weeks)

I had a feeling this was happening but did not document it. Thanks for this screenshot.

I guess we need to add those numbers for this week, looks like the patch did not fix a thing.
