Yes, this guy gets it!
Dude, I ran a normal Laz, with poorly performing DPS, lost aggro on an archer, and was berated and insulted as a “Bad Tank” because of it. He insulted me so much I had to leave. I thankfully though had paid to get in so there was no issue with the orb. People in this game are abusive AF. And your right, this system is making them worse.
How are they toxic? It sounds like u didnt check their gearscore and the mutation run failed. If you are charging someone for something its your responsibility to ensure they get their moneys worth (aka - did you check their roles? Did you check their gear score?). If you are using your key, you are the leader of the run.
So if being clever means knowing the basics to ensure a dungeon run is successful then yes i am clever. You clearly are not but keep blaming others
It’s not my job to check other peoples gear score! What is wrong with you? You are simply a troll. There is no instruction manual people are obligated to follow, it’s a computer game and people play to have fun and challenge themselves. Sometimes we will fail, so what! That was not the point of this post. You decided to jump in and start blaming me for s#it…It is not 100% my fault that people want their coin back for a failed run. I don’t fail for people, it is always a team effort. That is the point. This system is an incubator for toxicity. And for the other guy who stated that he “doesn’t understand” complaint threads, MAN it is exactly where AGS tell us to go…They refer us to the forums ffs!
Yeah youre 100% the toxic one. You charge people for a run that wont succeed and think its not your fault lmao. Yes it is your responsibility to check their gs if you dont know them for the benefit of the group. Just like how its your responsibility to ensure theres 1 healer in the group or let me guess you dont do that either because its a game and not a job? “Lets go in with 5 dps because its not my job to know anything about my teammates” lol
Stop creating dumb threads like this because you dont know how to play.
Here you go again, pointing a finger at me…What is wrong with you? The irony of saying that i blame others when right now you are blaming me 100%…Your words…And i actually agree that I need to be more careful and check peoples gear…Make them link it for me hey…well this is where the game is…The post was not about failing the dungeon, it was about expectations and player behaviour. People have had enough of this stuff and we are trying to tell AGS…I will digress from making any personal accusations. People are talking with their feet.
Ummm? Youre literally calling ppl on your team toxic. And im pointing out, in this scenario, that you were the toxic one.
You wasted 4 ppls time and stole their money because you didnt do your due diligence on the players you invited into the group.
I hope you are not in customer service because it doesnt seem like you understand if you sell a defective product that you should return their money. It is not toxic of them to ask. Would you not be upset if you paid for something that didnt work and on top of that wasted your time?
Ok so you understand I have actually paid for failed runs before in the past…Laz/Gen and I did not ask for my gold back. The reason i did not ask for it back is that the orbs cost resources to make and the whole point of us all paying is to cover that cost. The orb gets destroyed/consumed on entry and everyone knows this. It is actually every person in the team that bears the cost. Some people do not understand how difficult things can be and I have never needed to make people show me their gs/items before this update. Normally i ask if people are ready and I trust their response. Since this update i cannot merely trust someones word. That was a big mistake for me but could be avoidable with a more “player friendly” system. The elitists will love the new system but i hope they have others like them to enjoy the game with in the future as I am not that sort of player. I know people will just tell me to “get on my horse then”…Well this is a forum for the devs to gain insight to attract more player base (i hope)…if not my words are in vain…
Not quite, we were able to complete M10 void laz and M10 fire dynasty on 619-622 GS (625 recommended). Each missing GS reduces your dmg dealt and increases your dmg taken until you eventually do (literally) zero damage. So it significantly slows down the run and causes way more deaths, which basically guarantees bronze… but that doesn’t really matter on M10 since bronze still rewards 4k shards. I agree its shit how much GS matters but at least I feel some sort of challenge/progression. In order to get gold you really can’t be any more than 2 GS lower than recommended imo. Proper team comp (Heavy WH/GA dps, Med spear dps, light mage dps, tank, heal) and maximizing your rends/debuffs will also help a lot
edit: nvm i thought you were asking for advice but i read the replies and it seems you just wanted to vent. You have quite a victim mentality and you’re definitely in the wrong in this scenario and should refund the players. If you were completely fine and prepared for the dungeon yourself but the other 4 held you back, I could understand you keeping the gold since they wasted your key… But from the sounds of it, you yourself also weren’t prepared. In life if you don’t do your research and fail, you typically pay the consequence. In this case you paid no consequence, you kept the gold as if you weren’t at fault at all.
When you charge someone gold for a key it is only their contribution to the cost. My personal contribution should be 1/5 of the total cost so yes i have lost gold.
This guy gets it, its all about team comp and dealing with the less dmg you do and more dmg taken. Get on voice chat and make sure you are in sync with everything that’s happening in a fight. We also did m9 with 616/618 GS and pushed through for silver to be able to hit recommended GS and get gold.
The forums are not the wrong place when i have an issue regarding the game systems, this is where AGS refer all complaints to. Also i was enjoying and learning from your post until you decided to say i have “victim mentality”. Why did you feel it nessesart to add that in. What is wrong with you? Let’s say you are correct and I DO feel like a victim. I do not appreciate being threatened by people in a damn computer game (as per my original post). This was intended for AGS to learn from, not for tough guys like you to feed your ego.
Thats amazing, your team survived with one less player. Nice!
If you couldn’t kill the first mini boss, your group’s gear score was too low.
@OP, how much crowd control did your group have? The best way to take down vampiric is to never let them hit your team. So you need one person in comms to govern when and who uses what ability.
As to the fee thing, I would consider giving a partial refund. Part of the price of a mutated orb is the shards/codex unlock. If you have covered your cost to create the orb, then consider refunding 1/2 of the remaining entry fee to each player.
While yes, there’s no guarantee you will complete an expedition on entry, it seems a bit unfair that you profit more than your costs over the whole teams inability to complete an expedition.
Please remove tuning orbs from the game entirely.
Difference from 2 to 3 gs wise it’s quite big because there it starts to scale. Vampiric ain’t hard if people back stab and don’t get hit by every single ability
Random groups are starting to realise their gs is low once 3 it’s hit and they start dying all the time. We bought M3 there with a completely useless guy that just had 2gold and he respawned 11 times so we couldn’t get gold. 2 dps only we’re dealing with the vampiric mobs. People have the right to be toxic and you are not a tree so you can go to a place that fits you more. Instead of bringing toxicity to more people attention that only feeds it - you should mute them and continue your way while forgetting they ever existed.
The problem is the orbs, how can people enjoy the mutations, if they have to worry about the orbs everytime
this is cute but literally not grounded in reality, as you cannot survive upper level mutated dungeons, much less an m9, without heals. so again, cute little comeback
I really think you should though, for mutated. Just ask people to link their gear. It doesn’t have to be weird or rude. It’s just you / the team verifying that your comp is able to even run the mutated level.
For whatever reason, people lie and fudge their gs a bit. They think they know the dungeon well enough, it will be fine. This leads to wasted orbs and time. Always check!
