My 2nd Return, Review

I recently returned after 400 hrs at launch. The game has improved. Lots is still missing. You’re working on new content for quest progression, but your system at 60 is horrid for new players. Why revamp the story if the new players will just leave because they can’t find Expeditions. I joined a guild, but most people are doing PVP or trading or m8-10s. They will sometimes help, if you can be bothered to ask. I think the game could highly benefit from 2 person expeditions or scaling expeditions depending on the number of people/types of builds playing. Maybe even make them doable whilst solo. Much like parts of the quests, where you have to complete them solo because no one is running the beginner expeditions. Which is another nice option that was added. Before, to progress the Azoth staff, you had to wait hours and beg in Recruitment chat for others to join. I will still be playing the game, but with my girlfriend, completing all the quests and content in the open world. She’s not the greatest gamer, and open world content is about the extent of her current ability. Would be nice if games considered new gamers into consideration for the overall growth of the entire market. End game content that is fully scalable and can be enjoyed by whomever decides to play would be an all-encompassing approach to the entire market. Aimbots and esp and gold buying are still rampant, I think more so now than before. Less duping though? PVP is horrid for new players, understandable, but then you’re only appeasing the hardcore/forum posting junkies like me, which I can hardly see being the most business sensible approach. Listen to the advice on improving the game but consider the majority. Things like perk search, gear sets, better gear progression, smaller & scaling expeditions, pve and pvp differences in skills/damage, etc are good ideas that will help. I really enjoyed the new quests in the starter zone and Brimstone Sands, now we just need something post 60 where you can fight different bosses like Apophis, Imhotep, on a solo-5 person group variety. As it is now, new people on even the now ‘Fresh’ start servers meet a massive roadblock, unless they’ve a solid group of people willing to help them level gear for pvp/pve to m10s & bis for pve/pvp. I don’t think this game was made properly for wars or large scale pvp, unless you have a Nasa supercomputer near the game’s servers. So many videos on improving performace, turning everything down, lowest settings for wars and pvp. Cool idea, but not with this engine. Wars are too frequent, and pushing territory is horrid. Well, I’ll still be playing but open world and will probably come back with her comments regarding the experience as a new gamer throughout the process.
