My Biggest Turn Off for NW - Luck Gear and more

Run with crap gear so you get better loot.

I feel like NW is repeating all mistakes games have made in the past 20 years.

Luck gear is a bad system. There is a reason why they got rid of it in Diablo and PoE.

To top it all off all of it takes damage if you die too.

I just wish that they would somehow combine the luck so that you dont have to have so many different sets or at least give us a way to manage it.

I agree the luck gear system is tedious and superfluous. Instead of making it clog your inventory up because you have 5 sets of luck gear and then make you manually equip each individual piece… There should be a luck progression system.

My gear is all off stats cause I’m just gonna use what I pick up with luck on LVL 60 with tier 2-4 gear on cause I can’t find T5 with luck.
The luck addictive for crafting is also a pain to get so can’t even craft myself T5 luck gear lol

Wouldn’t mind a FF14 armor system where U can have muiltipul losdouts you can switch between for armors.

So you can have a Loadout for luck each crafting profession and harvesting profession equipped and can toggle between them (crafting one should auto swap when there crafting bench is open would need a toggle for benches that have muiltipul crafting types.
It’s a pain to find armor in your storage everytime U wanna do so my etching especially when you have 10+ sets one for each crafting and refining and harvesting it’s tedious :frowning:

You can have you own opinion but i like it. I like when its hard to get things and when i have to think and be smart to be successful.

Only need a better way to sort and equip gear and i would be fine.

And because of the mining this is maybe an organization error. We do it so that when we run elite zones one player has mining luck gear and mines alls ores after the run we can look what the person got and trade.

So just play OPR. Continue ignoring half the game’s mechanics and save all that money to just buy those fancy items you can’t get to drop. Let the TP be your WM.

Should be two types of luck, gathering luck and loot luck.

Just use TP, this system allows for specialisation, get great in one area and trade for the rest. I got tired of switching gear quickly, I do it only for important crafting, otherwise I have the parts of the fishing gear I have managed to collect and that is good enough. With your harvesting skills high enough you do not need more luck to get any of the rares, though it really helps to increase that chance into profitable levels.

Ability to pair gear into sets and swap those would be nice though. I like the specialisation aspect. You can do all if you want, but it is not easy and that is how it should be imho.

Can do same thing with crafting gear and refinery gear

Crafter luck , gatherer luck, fighter luck. thats it

No bs set for every single role ffs

You do know that is wrong, right? You can get ANYTHING with mining skill alone, you don’t need trophies or luck gear, 200 mining gives you 2000 mining luck, which is required for Void Ore, all that gear will just raise your chances from 0.1% to 0.2%, thats all.

In short, it would be great if we could manage gear sets and our trophies without needing to micro manage them or switch trophies insitu.

I do feel the complaint about luck. I am not a fan of that particular system (I much prefer the idea that if you need a thing then you need to do a list of things to get that thing and RNG can be a part of that but I never really enjoyed the whole -every single item is RNG- process) but I’d definitely be pretty happy to deal with it were the whole process not obfuscated behind an inventory management simulation.

The thing is luck on gear is always substituted for a damage/defence perk. This is okey in lower levels as it does not matter that much, but at higher areas… where you need to have best gear to be able to compete / fight the enemies it is soooo bad.

Why is luck not its own perk slot?

So no matter of the damage/defence perks you have on a gear you can either RNG zero luck, RNG low luck, RNG high luck? divided by a certain type of luck (looting luck, mining luck, etc) When crafting. And Luck gear is maybe only craftable and not dropped. Which would also make Crafting way more valid.

This way you can have either: Luck of one of a kind on each gear, or multiple ones of one kind and still be viable in combat against PVE mobs.

The constant changing of gear + repairs, is making me quit. It was kind of engaging collecting the sets, but using them is just a
Pain in the ass.
