On Friday the 3rd, I was organizing my items around between my houses. Ever since then I can not open my storage shed and some of the items I had taken out of the box disappeared. If I hit E on the Shed it almost always says lag detected, then boots me to the main menu.
Error Message
Most of the items I am missing are easily replaceable, however I currently can’t even check the box to see what exactly is missing. I just don’t know what I should do. I planned on moving house locations but now I am worried that If I do that I won’t be able to get any of the items out. I also got a set of 500 harvesting gear from the update fix instead of the 600 I was expecting.
Hello @Lord_Blaize, I’m sorry to hear about the difficulties you are experiencing interacting with your storage shed in New World!
This one seems tricky, as it happens consistently when interacting with your storage shed. I’d recommend to attempt to run a a Steam Integrity Check for New World, to make sure is not a client problem,
If the issue still persist, I’d recommend you to contact Amazon Games Customer Support using the link below for further actions and please keep handy the following information:
I have already verified the games integrity many times, I also tried to set new world as a high priority application. I also already submitted a ticket and talked to the support there.
I spoke to 3 reps and they told me to post on here and just wait till the bug was fixed. They offered not help in a workaround or advice on how to proceeded with so many items locked in a box I can no access.
Thanks for your reply @Lord_Blaize, I’m sorry to hear about the previous interactions with customer service!
I understand that a ticket was created already, I’d recommend to check if any updates have being posted in the news section of the forums, the weekly bug mega-thread.
As I don’t have access to your account I wouldn’t know if a ticket was pulled for your specific situation, I’m sorry for the inconveniences.
As the issue results in a connectivity message we could try the steps below and check if anithing changes:
From the Start/Windows Menu, select Settings.
Select Network and Internet.
In the Status section, under Change your network settings, select Change adapter options.
When the Network Connections window opens, right-click your network connection.
Select Properties.
Scroll to Internet Protocol version 6.
Uncheck the Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) box.
Select OK to save your changes for the selected network adapter.
Try launching the game again. A PC restart may be necessary.
One other troubleshooting we could try:
Win key + R
Type %appdata%
Go to AppData > Roaming > AGS > New World
Delete the Savedata folder and the user_preload_settings.cfg file.
Reboot the PC and you’ll see that the files deleted would be recreated.
Hello @Lord_Blaize, I actually don’t have any authority in-game on New World, hence, I wont be able to give you a definitive answer on that question, your best option in this case will be to reach out support directly with the link from my first post.
